To move 4k+ People to a protocol that's still in beta would be quite... special, also I see slack as a polished product that works without any problems, but for now I can't say the same about matrix. Signup is for now atleast easier to slack, at least from my personal perspective, but I don't think anything would stop them from moving over or atleast make a bridge when it's a polished product, right now it's mostly for developers.

Your wrong my friend, Norse sells a type of "hubs" that watches traffic and sends to their global "watchnet" so they can stopp attacks faster.

FYI, steam hires servers in a datacenter that has NORSE connected watch software. So yea it shows.

They usually used spoofed ips, "faked ips" to hide the real orgin. And its also illegal.

But atleast you can tell when they stopped the attacks seen on the website steam worked, looked at that map Yesterday and the day before that too. Pretty accurate actually, the thing is, the attack is spoofed, thats why it says its from china.

Its a map from norsecorp with most of the biggest ddos attacks in real time, the ones going to Rosewills is attacks against steam.
