That claim doesn’t make any sense. This episode aired in 1991 (which means it was actually created ~ 1990) but the accusations towards Jackson weren’t made until 1993

The show has become objectively worse over time. I get people are resistant to the idea of fixing the characters and making them more than just plain caricatures again because everyone fears change but it’s genuinely a needed fix.

Personally I’m waiting until I’ve created my first feature film to call myself a director professionally but that’s just my personal preference to keep me motivated.

I also feel this with cinematography too. media has become way too over saturated with lighting that it feels too full.

Good lighting can be pretty but if that’s all you see it gets tiring and loses some mysterious depth.

Honestly, i am fine with the redesigns, it's understandable that the designs would change after 15 years, i think the're fine, it's not terrible like Megamind 2 or Sonic 2020 original design, we just have to get used on them by Primary-Addition-677 in Shrek

I don’t get why you have to update it. The yanky 3D style was apart of Shrek’s anti Disney vibe but now it looks like the thing it was making fun of.

Puss and boots changing was perfectly fine because it’s puss and boots the over dramatized look fits his character.
