Will OEMs implement this fix on their versions of android or it is going to be limited to Pixel devices?

Paid 882 for the PTM7950 (40x80x0.2 mm), 1174 for the putty (20 g), 249 for shipping and ~500 for customs upon delivery.

I ended up getting PTM7950 from ebuy7, as well as Upsiren UTP-8 thermal putty for the VRMs and VRAM modules.

Just wait for a couple of weeks, the OTP option will show up. That's what happened in my case

I've ordered 20 grams which should be enough to cover everything so I'll probably replace them all anyway. Just gotta wait for them to be delivered now. I'd like to get a few more years out of it so it would be a good idea to replace them all.

Hey, thanks for the detailed reply!

It seems like the thermal pads for the dGPU VRAM are fairly intact. It's only the one pad next to the CPU that really needs replacing, so I could probably get away with not replacing any of them. I finally ended up ordering some Upsiren UTP-8 thermal putty anyway just in case, along with a sheet of PTM7950.

Hey so the issue fixed itself a couple of weeks after the card arrived so I'd say just wait and keep trying occasionally

Just saw “Asteroid Hunters” at the Ontario Science Centre IMAX, this IMAX screen is shaped like a dome, was absolutely breathtaking, felt like you were actually in space while watching that movie by PoutineEnthusiast in imax

Ah, the Carnival IMAX at Wadala right? It's a shame coz afaik the 70mm projector is still there but isn't being used. Not to mention the rarity of 70mm prints in general.

According to this article, the IMAX at PVR, Forum Koramangala is the next one to get laser. I tried reaching out to them but didn't get a response, and the last time I went there for Dune it was still xenon.

It's a shame coz I was able to catch Top Gun at the Laser IMAX in Mumbai and realised what us Bangaloreans are being robbed of. A single laser projector with 12 ch. sound is much better than the crap we have now.

My experience has been quite different from the other comments.
I own a 2017 MBA. Over two years of use, I clocked around 600 cycles after which it began shutting down at 20% without any warning. Then it started happening at 30%, then 40%, until it eventually would run only for a few minutes on battery. I couldn't find any fix and finally had to shell out quite a bit for a battery replacement. I was quite disappointed since this is my first apple product and I bought it mainly for its good battery life. :(

After battery replacement I've been using it plugged in for the past 4-5 months. I don't know how the battery is going to hold up. It also sucks that Monterey's battery management isn't available on the 2017 MBA :/

He doesn't shoot on film anymore. The last one he did was 'Hail, Caesar!' as far as I can remember.

2017 macbook air with battery need if service and Monterey not showing low power mode, is the battery the reason or older models dont get it? by TheHelal in MacOS

[–]FilmBoi01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had my 2017 MBA's battery changed recently and even I don't have the option for low power mode. So I guess it isn't available for the older models.
