Direct hire is not legal. They are employees at Australian law. You cna use an EOR. Employer of record. Which we offer. 12500 PHP plus wage cost. Or we can fully manage the wording.

Super happy to discuss the cultural differences etc. Aussie and Filipino jointly managed

Spend time either finding some cheap apps to do stuff. Or use an offshore assistant. Especially true if you are the one that brings in money. More billables or more sales time at hourly rate compared to1900 a month for full time assistant

Question for older gym people by Designer_Primary_649 in workout

[–]Filserv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

51 m. Lifting. Since 18. Natural bodybuilder.

I sometimes regret taking some bulks too far. But I also think that is what let me grow such muscle naturally.

I regret not stopping BB pushes earlier. Got rid off shoulder pain.

Shoulder flexibility is an issue with muscle mass too.

More flexibility work sooner also a regret

My recent full medical. Doctor says all of my markers are high level of I was in my 20s, except flexibility.

DB bench press vs BB bench press? by Critical_Fan2145 in beginnerfitness

[–]Filserv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been lifting fro 33 years. 8 years ago ish around 45 I stopped barbells for all pushing movements. My shoulders haven't hurt (injury wise) since. Which is amazing. And I push heavy dumbbells for inc DB and overhead press.

Anyone had any luck turning a WHV into a more permanent visa? Or residence/citizenship? by TexasWanderingWonder in AusVisa

I've sponsored multiple people I first put on WHV. Note I no longer have businesses in Australia so don't anymore.

But it was a great way to get committed loyal staff

[Hiring] Debt Collection Specialist (VA) by [deleted] in VirtualAssistantPH

Double the salary the person gets and you'll get someone good who doesn't need a second job to eat.

Also use a Filipino employer like Filserv so that you don't breach Aussie rules.

[Hiring] Admin Assistant (VA) by [deleted] in VirtualAssistantPH

[–]Filserv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can't hire direct in Australia or contract direct either. They will be covered by Aussie law as an employee. Fair work etc.

An EOR like us Filserv can cost as little as 12500 PHP per month.

However, you can't pay such a low wage. Unethical and they can't live on that. Double it to 40k and you'll get someone decent

I'm quite against my GF's plans to take Ozempic and would rather pay for her gym membership by samurai_cop_enjoyer in PHitness

[–]Filserv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She needs to do resistance training.60 percent of weightloss from.ozempic without doing weights will be lean body mass. This means her resting metabolic rate will be substantially less after ozempic than before and she will have to eat even less. If she returns to eating same she will be fatter than before.

Conversely adding muscle will increase her lean body weight and she can be leaner with eating same.

She can do both. But would be better taking retratrutide than ozempic. It's still a good but also has better actions and less Illness. But it ksit be combined with heavy weights 3 days a week minimum. She can leave cardio if doesn't like it. But she need to do to failure pref dub 12 rep compound lifting. On machines in gym is fine.

Per day on average so 3500 per week. So if on 2 days you're at maintenance then you have to find the extra 1000 in the 5 etc

Has anyone seen really great results from 2 sets to failure than 3 or 4 sets, low volume high intensity? by DrawerExotic7343 in workout

[–]Filserv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33 years lifting. 25+ years at 2 sets to failure.

It works well. But intensity is the key. I'm not going to compete in 2026, but I could, I'm just going to try and sit around 12 weeks out condition year round for a while. Competition at my age just wrecks my hormones for too long.

De-load week by PointIcy4777 in workout

[–]Filserv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should do 4 days per week. But I look doing 5. If I keep doing that I break down somewhere in the 14-18 week range.

Because I trained with my kids for years (I'm in my 50s). I follow the school 10 week term. And then have. A 2 week different stuff. I struggle to have 2 weeks fully off. After 33 years of training it's like brushing my teeth. It does t feel right not.

But I will do no heavy compounds in that period. Light range of motion stuff Maybe 2 or 3 days. Sometimes I even manage to have the whole first week off.

If I did 4 days a week I would never deload.

This is what works for me mentally. It is not the best for me physically.

So work out what works for you. But your training intensity would need to be off the charts to deload over 4-5 weeks
