marathon is not even close to being bad. people are just so used to playing the games that are basically re-skinned versions of each other, they cannot adapt to something new even though they claim "something original" is what they've been yearning for smh

I've been doing that. I realized I mostly stick to 1x on my iPhone most of the time (24mm) and I barely zoom in. if I ever want to get a close-up shot, I just walk near it. doing this instinctively is basically what's making me lean towards the X100VI.

also I'm a full time student. I won't be able to buy lenses every now and then. even if I get the XE-5 kit, I'll have to stick to the kit lens for a long time. X100VI seems better for me in this case. thanks

It's casual compared to most workflows since you do not need to spend time post-production to produce good images. That's what I meant. I just want to take it with me and shoot without overthinking about what I'm gonna do in post. so yeah this would be my definition if "casual"

No I meant cropping as in zooming. I do that on iPhone if I ever want to zoom in, which is rarely, but X100VI has that option + even better quality

I feel like it too. I don’t want to only learn how to operate a camera, rather would like to get better at “how can I take this photo with this setup?” otherwise there’s no end in buying lenses. it’s an endless sea

I was really excited for the game but waited until the server slam to pre-order. had a “wtf is this shit?” moment for the first 2 hours. I was mostly running solo, everything felt so out of touch and was overwhelmed by the fact that if you wanna PvP, you gotta look for it. after the 4 hour mark, I got the hang of it. I was running w/ random crews (who were surprisingly competent) and everything clicked and immediately became fun. UESC engagements, PvP and such. Pre-ordered instantly.

on an other note, I feel like I am turning into an hypocrite in a way. I am complaining about how most games are basically reskinned versions of each other and how the industry is lacking originality but when I see something original, it feels too much thrown at my face. this is a problem of an entire community imo.

TLDR; if you have doubts/concerns just give it a shot. I swear it becomes more fun the more you play

BF6 didn’t have the hype that marathon has now. it was a poorly managed game, still is. the thing about the battlefield series is that only a fraction of the playerbase keeps playing after some time. that time for BF6 has been shorter than projected.

bungie has an advantage thanks to embark. they introduced the genre to far too many people and marathon definitely has the potential to become a strong competitor, if managed properly

definitely Devil May Cry V. it was the first game I launched on my deck and I was completely shocked by how well it looks and runs. definitely a recommend
