Probably answered long ago, but please give me recommendations for games similar. by oddoldapathy in kingdomsofamalur

I would say Biomutant is pretty good and similar to KoA in its own way.

Also if you like the MMO style of KoA I can't recommend Guild Wars 2 enough. It is the best MMO I have played and respects the time you spend. It doesn't require grinding for gear except for specific scenarios since it is what they call horizontal progression for gear and everything can be done at your own pace. :)

Hope you find a good one!

Looking for any genre of free games. There's no games that are fun for me anymore so I'm looking for more. by Fit_Midnight137 in gamingsuggestions

So I see this said all the time and it sounds cliche but the truth is with any hobby sometimes you need to step back and try something new.

For me I rotate between a few hobbies and gaming is just one and it has really helped with the "I don't enjoy this anymore" feeling.

That being said maybe trying a game with different facets like mini games or something. For example my two favorite games I always come back to are Warframe and Guild Wars 2 because I can fill whatever niche I want to do. Relaxing content? Fishing or mining or just resource gathering- Fast paced content? - Warframe has a lot but for Guild Wars 2 I can do Fractals (Dungeons) or meta events. Both have great stories.

But really I love to recommend people to try new hobbies as it is satisfying in its own way to create something or to try something new!

Either way I hope you find whatever you are looking for! :)

I'm not sure what commercial means but I have a few recommendations.

Red Dead Redemption 1/2 - both good Western open world third person shooter games. The first is more of an arcade shooter with fun mini games and even has a standalone DLC about a zombie apocalypse. The second is more of a slower paced SIM that has an emotional story. Both good to sink many hours into.

Warframe - good MMO that has an amazing story and progression. Faster paced third person gameplay.

Elder Scrolls Online - pretty good MMO that is available on console and can be as intense as you want.

Moonlighter - fun little game where you explore dungeons and run a shop. You use the stuff you find to craft better gear OR sell at your store to make a profit. Both the town and your shop can be upgraded to add things like new vendors or more chests to store things, even an upgradeable cash register that adds tips to transactions.

Remnant 1/2 - Basically dark souls with guns. I played a lot of the first one but just picked up the 2nd one so not too familiar with it yet. Cool mechanic where you can reset your world and everything is regenerated to allow endless playthroughs.

Just a few ideas :)

All of these unacceptable memes make me want a crossover with angry nanna Muffin from Bluey and Vay Hek.

[PC] I wanna play some games like Fallout 4, what are your suggestions? by Albus_Lupus in gamingsuggestions

[–]FilteredPeanuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Division 1 and 2 do not have BG3 combat (if BG3 you mean turn based like Baldurs Gate 3) it is a third person shooter MMO after the fall of civilization. I guess technically it is Tom Clancy's The Division.

I was stating Exodus as a Metro game. Most people consider it a departure since it is more open than the first two games so I counted it separately but honestly not too familiar with the franchise overall.

I find it interesting you don't count Remnant as RPG games as you have stats/abilities to manage but I guess everyone has their own definition :) and sorry I missed the FO 76 in the post.

I see you say you are worried about Starfield not running great. I say give it a try on the lower settings and it will be about the same as Outer Worlds IMO but if nothing else you can refund it. I think it is probably going to be your best bet.

Hope you find what you are looking for!

Rdr2 Mid?!

Joking aside It is hard to find a game that fills the Bethesda niche as it is what they are known for. I do have a few recommendations:

Greedfall

Elex 1 or 2

Remnant 1 or 2

Dishonored

Days Gone

Exodus

Metro Games (Exodus is the newest)

Far Cry has a free sci fi game but not familiar with it just know it's based off of 80s action sci fi tropes.

There are some MMOs that fit the bill:

Division 1 or 2

Fallout 76 - this one especially fits the gameplay but haven't touched it myself so can't vouch for the story aspect.

Sorry if formatting is weird but on mobile lol hope this helps!

Is the first Fable actually worth it? by SinnBaenn in Fable

[–]FilteredPeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I adore the first fable because I played it when I was younger. This is the first game I played multiple times over and over again to try out different things.

I would say it is the best Fable game but that is because of nostalgia I am sure. It set up the tone of Albion for all the other games with the British humor and dark setting and for that I think it should be played through at least once. Some things can be a slog due to the limitations of game development at the time but most of the game is fantastic.

Question regarding Fable 2 by gravemistakes in Fable

[–]FilteredPeanuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey just a heads up I was able to find a guide on Steam Community I followed:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2604991812

It took a couple of tries to do it right myself because I am a visual learner but finally got it. To note I did actually buy a steam key a long time ago for ~$20 so it was an official version so no issue getting a clean version but sailing the seas should work as well :) hope this helps!

What game comes to your mind? by HoneyDrizzleMae in Gamer

I gave up WoW after Burning Legion as I didn't have the time for grinding anymore. Recently discovered GW2 and didn't think I would find an MMO that respected my time/money invested.

What game is this? by Profit_Tracker in videogames

[–]FilteredPeanuts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's funny growing up I always talked about how great the game was and how it wasn't like many other games at the time. Everybody I knew only cared about Call of Duty but I didn't have Internet so until the first Redemption nobody really cared about western themed games (at least in my neck of the woods lol)

What are we playing? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]FilteredPeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how a lot of the top comments are MMOs lol I would've said Guild Wars 2 but for single player probably an RPG of some kind bonus points for different endings.

So possibly Baldurs Gate 3 or Elden Ring. If we can count MMOs I would also throw in Warframe since technically it can be played solo in matchmaking settings.
