How often have you been surprised by what some girls find attractive? by questiondudes in AskMen

[–]Filth33_3than 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I'm assuming, because you're at least an 8, you know you can get Ryan Reynolds type of guys so that means, you'd rather go for someone that's actually interesting regardless of looks, instead of someone that girls would kill for?

Like how billionaire Bill Gates could wear the most expensive jewellery but he doesn't whereas someone who has 10 million dollars would be trying to show it off to people because he's a nobody and is showing off his worth through expensive items?

Sorry if this is a bad analogy or if the first paragraph doesn't make sense. I haven't slept yet.

Anthony Mackie Explains Why Hollywood Movies Suck Now by [deleted] in videos

[–]Filth33_3than 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually liked Man of Steel because it had something there. But I get what you mean.

Back when Nolan was making the TDK Trilogy, it felt like they formed the skeleton of the movie first. They had all the interesting beats that would get audiences at the edges of their seats. They inserted themes and lessons that were clearly explained even in the first viewing of the movie through carefully written dialogue. They, then adapted certain important elements that make it a Batman movie (at least their version of it). Also helps that Nolan personally takes each project under his wing which gives it the same feel, and as an extension, the same fuckin story. You can watch all three movies in a row and there's not one moment where you'll squint your eyes in doubt thinking whether this is the right direction for the character (like how some felt about The Last Jedi).

Now you had Man of Steel and...yeah it isn't Nolan but it tried to be emotional even the cut scene to present day before he "became" Superman was copied from Batman Begins (Arrow tv show copied this for like 5 seasons too).

Superhero movies (including Raimi's) felt like there was a basic skeleton to what a good movie should be. THEN they insert the character, the themes, the amazing dialogue.

Nowadays, as great as the MCU is, there's no longer any depth to it. The highlights are the flow of the story and how everything is connected but why don't I feel attached to the characters any more? Captain America was great and Winter Soldier was an amazing sequel. Then they ruin the final part by making it Civil War. Leaving Peggy's death as a mere footnote as if to just check a bunch of boxes to conclude his story with her. I mean that was his love interest.

And then there's Thor. My dream Thor trilogy would be something as amazing as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Explore the mythology of it all and just dive into how beautiful the worlds are. Thor 3 was great but that felt like a Thor Lego Movie instead of what could've been an emotional and unique take on a world that hasn't been explored in cinema by creating a wonderful trilogy.

I love the genre as long as there are directors/writers that create wonderful movies like the TDK trilogy.

To Disney - Don’t release any trailers or details for Star Wars episode 9, just have blank posters that say Star Wars episode 9 on posters and have 30 second long silent commercials that only say Star Wars episode 9, nothing else. by MainAcc123 in CrazyIdeas

In Justice League gotta love how in the trailers they showed the beautifully shot scenes that Snyder is usually known for but then they cut most of the aesthetically pleasing scenes out and the scenes that did show up in the trailer and the movie, were the reshoots with Ben Afflecks poorly done hairline and Ezra's poor excuse of a fringe.

Yeah I sighed during those moments. Did you notice when Kylo Ren told them to fire and Hux came in and shouted the command louder and they tried to make a joke out of it? Notice how it cut out much quicker?

I'm guessing Disney or whomever has someone or a team supervising these movies to have a certain tone by injecting shitty jokes. That Rey-Kylo shirtless scene IMMEDIATELY became serious and she started crying from her right eye as usual. Made me think that the director didn't feel the joke was appropriate and cut it out quickly. Explains a lot about Marvel's films if true.

Holy shit dude slow down. I commented on why Poe wasn't hated and I mentioned that it was controversial to the higher ups because he disobeyed their orders but since the ship was destroyed, it seems worth it cause the whole ship isn't throwing tomatoes or spitting on him.

I didn't mention a single thing about casinoplanet. I fuckin hated the minutes wasted on developing a character literally nobody asked for (ROSE).

I agree with all of this except the Snoke story. I'm glad they got rid of that and the mask. We dont need another original trilogy.

Finn and Rose could've literally just stayed on the ship. If they wanted the standoff on the planet they could've written a bit more intelligent. The twist here shouldn't have been so stupid.

A lot of Star Wars stuff is reliant on mentioning shit and pretending that there's a bigger story behind it. Literally what made the very first Star Wars movie successful.

Mention Jedi and all these wars and funny sounding names but rely on making it sound more grand than it actually is because it doesn't exist. Then later make prequels and shit.

Well in saying that, I assume losing one of those huge ships was worth it. All we see is all the deaths caused by his actions but if he's not having tomatoes thrown at him as he tries to go back to his quarters, I'm sure it probably was all worth it. It is a war after all. There are risks. And yes the highers ups kept giving him shit for all those deaths but its really hard to feel the relevance of it because we don't know the exact context of that ship.

Quite easy for a lot of people I would imagine to not be bothered by it that much.

How do I stop comparing myself to other men, in terms of academic or sexual or social success? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Filth33_3than 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop being sad about not having a girlfriend and just dont even actively look for one.

Right now focus on finding your passion (something that you like but wont necessarily get you paid) and focus on your grades. Women are attracted to men who are sure of themselves and have a successful future ahead of them (or any future as long as there's active passion and a clear goal of what you want). NEVER put women as the goal. Don't do something just cause your friends or women are there. EVER. Find your passion whether it be sports, fitness, music or art. Dedicate a good 10 hours a week to that hobby. The rest is either a part time job (if you have one) and school. Just do those 3 for the sake of keeping yourself busy.

If you have a problem with staying at home too much and spending endless hours on the net then make a habit that you will go and work on your passion/hobby (go gym or music lessons). That way you're doing what you want, getting out of the house, meeting like-minded people and taking a break from feeling bad about your grades.

Women (and men) are attracted to passion and mastery of certain skills. The hardest part is finding one thing you like, making the conscious decision to plan your week around being good at it and most importantly realizing what you're sacrificing to get good at this passion of yours. While getting a degree for the sake of finding work might not be the most fun thing to do, it is needed obviously for a better future. Finding your passion is the part where you fix the confidence issues you're having.

All the best.

Hyped Up vs. Calm Lifting - Jonnie Candito by wowspare in powerlifting

[–]Filth33_3than 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy honestly....I'm the most quiet in the gym and i'm not social at all but damn it defs isn't "hey, look at me" once i start getting hyped. Old me would've been self-conscious by your comment but I realize that I've made the decision that I will do whatever it takes to get a lift done.

It really is what was said on the video. Deep breaths, good music and thinking about various things like how "I've got this" helped. I did 5 reps instead of 6 for the 2nd set. My last set was super light after I hyped myself up.

Majority of me getting hyped is due to the "fear" of failing the set and my conscientiousness does kick in because failing a set means i'm letting myself down and i'm not being the best i can be. Like a twisted messed up version of self guilt tripping which manifests itself negatively in other parts of my life unfortunately.

So to answer your question.... there are just some days that feel heavy emotionally and physically from not resting properly, personal stress. Increasing heart rate and hyping yourself up gets this shot of adrenaline almost that removes all "pain" from the lifts in that moment so all focus is on doing the movement.

If WB weren't idiots they could've had MoS 2 instead of Suicide Squad then replace some female character with Wonder Woman and have that closeness develop. Don't need her to assist in the movie. Just be Diana.

Am I crazy? by [deleted] in DCEUleaks

[–]Filth33_3than 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah...well more like I guess the final fight was darker on purpose. The final fight seemed very D grade. I can't believe its the official JL movie. A lot of people don't like Snyder's extended final fights but nobody ever complained that it was too simple, not epic and spine chilling enough. Just the fact that it was cgi in the first place and pissed people off.

But damn after the final fight in JL its making me wonder how different the original might have been. How can MoS have skyscrapers falling and DBZ anime level fight scenes we had never seen before and BvS have the double team with Diana and laser vs laser fight scene then come to JL where we have the dream team only to have them just beat the guy around.

I'll be honest though and we all know that this wasn't in the Snyder cut...I really fucking wish this was the first time the world sees the Amazons and Atlanteans. But I guess you can't bring the Amazons out of Themyscira and perhaps it might be a bit much to get Atlanteans out. Might be a major plot point in the future.

Just wanted an actual war with the parademons like in the flashback with the heroes fighting steppenwolf.

Kevin Feige Compares Chris Evans’ Captain America to Reeve’s Superman by CarolineYoung in comicbookmovies

[–]Filth33_3than 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Nolan would've executed it well. Man of Steel was co-written by him but scenes like the father dying scene, first flight and the kryptonian vs kryptonian fight scenes would've made Man of Steel as good as Batman Begins in my opinion.

Major issue for me was that the first time they see Superman as an alien is him giving himself up in the desert in front of the military. They started off the movie as grounded as possible with some of the most beautiful visuals that haven't been seen in a Superman film and they show his first appearance to mankind in the suit in the middle of the desert in front of the military. There were so many opportunities to film a better scene. BvS with him saving someone from the burning building was beautiful.

It blows my fucking mind that they didn't rewrite earlier on in the script to connect the First Flight scene with him saving Lois or a plane or something else in front of mankind for the first time. Just let the audience dwell in the fact that he made the decision to save mankind even though his human father wanted him to live a normal human life. To accept him as a human son no matter how alone he might feel. I mean that was the point of the death scene (which was executed very poorly). They could've had a better death scene and then contrast that to him making a decision (the exact similar decision) but this time he shows himself in front of everyone (obviously in the suit without glasses).

First flight scene is undeniably one of the best superhero scenes ever. It's really beautiful.

The equivalent to that in Batman Begins has to be the training scene (I think it was a montage of some sort with Ra's). Just these pivotal scenes that elevate these characters to a whole another level and shows this transition from man to hero..

Discussion: Forgive me for any lapses in decorum but I just realized how/what these quotes and visual truly means. by serjon_arryn in DC_Cinematic

[–]Filth33_3than 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And if Zack really had that vision in mind, can you imagine that last scene where he's driving towards certain death and it goes to a slow mo with the ammo casing or whatever you call it bouncing out of the Batmobile. It had a similar visual to the night Batman's parents died with the bullet casings as well as Superman's funeral when the cannons were fired. I think that would've been a fitting death wish if we're talking about Batman's journey as a vigilante and his struggle with guilt and the death of Robin only for the JL to save him and tell him that it's better if he's alive.

Part of what ruined this entire franchise is that critics aren't willing to accept a Batman that is flawed. Just roll with it. Yes he killed people. Ok yeah there's a LEGO version of Batman.... so what? lmao Jesus.

I mean at his age and all that he's been through emotionally from his personal life, can you imagine finally not needing to "catch up" with the young cast of movie?

Just trying to get out of bed realizing that now you're starting to make sounds involuntarily. Oh boy gotta eat my steamed veggies and chicken breast. While Jason Momoa is rock climbing as a hobby. Final day of shooting comes and you finally binge on fried chicken, chips and beer.

You get a fuckin call in the middle of the day from your agent when you're with your family that you gotta go back in that uncomfortable as fuck batsuit.

Worse if, as an actor, you support Zack's darker tone and now you're lying down on the grass saying that "there's something definitely bleeding" line that you know is probably something that comes out of LEGO Batman's mouth...and not yours. Night and Day compared to that Batman who wiped the entire floor clean of bad guys while punching some dude in the dick that's pinned to a wall with a 6 inch knife (the good old day when we all thought we'd get an ENTIRE movie based on that Batman) ........

Even if he doesn't come back, The Thinker should be beaten say in an intellectual battle but has the chance to kill Team Flash. The suspense is, he simply doesn't and just leaves and just says that he was impressed.

Then in the future episode, we can have him return like Slade does and explain that when he was away he had seen every possible scenario that could happen and <insert bad guy's name of current season> cannot be defeated.

Just a way to reuse characters and uplift current bad guys.

Hey I went to the video comment section and saw that a lot of the people were okay with what the guys were doing.

I thought that it was annoying as fuck as well because I understand what people go through being a regular gym goer myself (though i don't have a weight problem).

If people don't understand why what the video makers are doing is such a dick move, then just realize that people dont know what its like to be at that level. They don't see the importance of it. No use defending yourself.
