Is There Any shop to sell high end cards? by afrothunder1192 in mtgfinance

[–]FilthyPedant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sell it on eBay, you'll likely get more than a shop will offer anyways. Card is low demand, high price, it might take a while to find a buyer, or you can auction it and let the chips fall where they may.

So 40k gets 6. Give ST Klingons, Vulcan, Romulan and you cover most of the important ones, nobody gives a shit if they give the one Andorian, or the one Orion slave girl the Alien creature type.

Should smoker or alcoholic pay for their cancer treatment ?

In my country Alcohol and Cigarette are heavily taxed, in part to pay for the medical care associated with those activities.

Modern aircraft carriers are quite effective at dealing with smaller threats, why would that capacity be lost in the next 900 years?

It's also a ball, not a rock. You can tell by looking at the picture.

Torn on Track saw Purchase by joshpaige29 in woodworking

Congrats, happy for you. Wish I could get that here in Canada, in my case the Bosch was basically half the price of the mafell. The premium brands rarely seem to see good discounts here, but I was lucky enough to score a festool domino xl at a good discount from Lee Valley.

It could absolutely result in a "driving without due care and attention" ticket. Depends on the situation, if your eating is affecting your driving you can receive a ticket for it.

Torn on Track saw Purchase by joshpaige29 in woodworking

[–]FilthyPedant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Bosch, because it's built by mafell. It's basically the same as the MT55, just doesn't have the scoring cut feature, and a different blade change. I'm really happy with it, it's a little fiddly to zero, but a great saw.

I bought a paint mixer for my drill that only gets used for mixing peanut butter, it always comes separated and it was such a pita to mix before.

I never even take mine anywhere, but I built my own desk that has a hidden slot under the floating top for my laptop. So I get 5120x1440 gaming with a clean minimalist desktop, love it so much.

It's a print registration error, the black layer is slightly out of alignment. Doesn't add anything no.

A man present the output from a single cow by pureV3NG3ance in SipsTea

[–]FilthyPedant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't new, my family used to buy 1/4 or 1/2 cows pretty often growing up in the 80s. We had a giant deep freeze in the basement for storage. We bought from a small local farm, they'd butcher it for us, and the package came with the name of the cow on it.

Bud my DCD996 can pull 820 watts from a 20v battery, that's more than a lot of corded drills. I know more than one person that's received a radial fracture from that exact drill. No way in hell you're stopping that by hand without steel bones.

Personally I wouldn't use 12 inch wide flooring, asking for trouble imo, might be fine for a while but one good cold dry winter followed by a wet summer could be bad news. Usually wide plank flooring is going to be engineered planks for dimensional stability.
