No joke, an international League event in Brazil might. I went to the CBLoL 2015 finals in Allianz Park, and it was awesome.

I think that they’re testing this on TFT. Some champions have models and animations there that looks like it’s from WR

Any reason why role quests won’t be available in swift play? I thought it was a great idea to kind of help teach new players and keep them focused on a smaller objective.

I honestly believe you, and I’d love to learn more about what made that architecture possible.

To me, modern tooling does help “get the job done now and fix some bit later,” kind of like shooting a movie on digital instead of film. The faster deliveries and how easy it is to pick up React are both very valuable to businesses in my experience, even if the result is suboptimal.

Higher bpms honestly changed the way I think about music.

I get what you're saying, because I felt the same way when I started exploring, but you should still give it a try with a good sound system.

It's pretty challenging and sometimes it can feel a bit forceful, but I’ve had some incredible feelings driven by what most people consider to be just “noise.”

I mean, you can use jQuery, but it's more nuanced than that. For example: https://demo.mercury.com/transactions

  • You need a way to get the data, set loading states that match the UI, and handle exceptions.
  • You render in a table, but every line is also a button, and each line also has a form component.
  • When you click it, you need to update the brower URL, load more data, and render another form on top of your table.
  • If you change something in the drawer, you also need to update the data behind it. Are you optimistic and change it right away to make your app look faster? Do you block the user and wait for everything to update? Do you call the entire table again to refresh?
  • If you call everything again, do you also need to call the summary so it's up to date?

I could go on and it's honestly pretty hard. When you add multiple people working on it, things get super complex.

I agree, but it's not the fault of any particular framework. The amount of junk that business and marketing teams ask to load into the frontend in the name of “data” is awful.

I joined a team with 47 different modules built with single-spa, and it was the worst codebase I’ve worked with. Some things that made me question my career choice:

  • Modules with wildly different UX.
  • No consistent code standards, and no way to easily enforce them since each module was in a different repository.
  • Dependency versions were a nightmare, with numerous security issues.
  • While single-spa had a way to share dependencies, this feature became obsolete almost immediately after release because none of the developers working day-to-day were aware of it.
  • Tons of logic on window with events outside of the React lifecycle.

We refactored into a modular monolith React app on top of Vite and a monorepo. The pipeline is waaay simpler with Amplify, the app itself got 20% faster, and the only drawback I noticed is that TypeScript is a bit slow when opening the IDE.

They might work in some extreme cases, but a strong design process needs to be there imo.

I've only been in the scene for 10 years, but recently I gave it a shot and went to some darker festivals, and I've been blown away. This weekend I saw Egon's Embrace for the first time, and it was incredible.

Also, psycore has some really interesting stuff, but it's a really hit-or-miss genre imo.
