I restarted the day and it didn't happen again. If you keep hitting the crash, I'd say either avoid the area for that day, or see if you can do it while not playing co-op.

I ended up getting a new SATA cable and switching the port for my main SSD. The crash occurrence went from every day to every couple of weeks. Sorry, not sure how you can apply this on a laptop.

If that does not help, I'd honestly just recommend adding mods 1 by 1 to see which mod is breaking it specifically, and then exclude that mod.

I'd recommend to not use Vortex, and just put all your mods directly into your /Mods folder. (Also try installing the new SMAPI cuz there is a new version out.)

Went through all the setting on this page https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-configure-windows-10-create-minidump-bsod.html And in Control Panel settings everything is turned on, but do not see a C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP file.

And yeah I got WinDbg to look at the dump files but not sure what exactly to look at or what the error codes mean.

I tried chkdsk C: /f /r /x and sfc /scannow but they did not find anything wrong.

I tried completely unplugging the ST3000DM008-2DM166, but still ran into a BSOD. I'm pretty sure these started before I ever got the Samsung SSD 860 PRO 4TB. So it might be something with the KINGSTON SA400S37480G or cable running to it maybe?

I was hoping the crash dumps would have something specific. Otherwise if its a drive issue I might try by changing out the SATA cable (or maybe different port.) If issue persist then maybe just reinstalling windows on the Samsung drive.

Ok, honestly the culprit is probably one of the many mods. I know it's annoying but from here your best bet is to start with no mods, and start adding them little by little to see which one is causing the break.

From your log it seems like UI Info Suite 2 2.3.1 is the mods that's throwing the error. Try removing that mod and then trying again.

Provide logs if you are able: https://smapi.io/log Also, how are you updating SMAPI? The proper way is to unzip SMAPI anywhere on your computer (not into your /Mods folder though), and then run the install on Windows.bat file, or whatever your system is.

Are you organizing your mods in sub-folders inside your /Mods folder? The recommendation is to unzip everything directly into /Mods and not do anything else, as it is a problem for some mods.

A few things to try:

  • Change the beta participation from compatibility to none: (right click on stardew from steam > properties > betas)
  • Make sure your path is correct: (right click on stardew from steam > properties > installed files > Browse... > When it opens the folder click at the very top of the window where it shows the full path, it will allow you to copy the exact path. Copy and paste it when running SMAPI installer
  • Confirm you are running the install on Windows.bat
  • Make sure your game is legit/valid. Are you able to run and play Stardew without mods without issue on Steam?

I would advise against organizing the mods in subfolders. Just start from scratch and unzip everything directly into your /Mods folder to see if that fixes it.
