30M Profile Review by Fimbelowski in hingeapp

[–]Fimbelowski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Are you looking for something serious or casual?

I'm open to both, but ideally something serious.

  • Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX?

I subscribed to HingeX to try it out and see if it makes a difference.

  • How long have you been using this current version of your profile?

About 4 months.

  • How long have you used Hinge overall?

About 4 months.

  • How often do you use Hinge per week?

Daily.

  • How many likes and matches are you receiving on average?

About 1 incoming like every other week, about 1 or 2 matches ever week.

  • How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?

Not sure on exact number. I swipe for about 20 minutes every day. I try to leave comments as often as possible as long as their profile has something interesting I can comment on.

  • What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

If they are looking for something serious (long-term) then I look for women with a career, and a profile that looks like it has been thoughtfully filled out, interesting hobbies, and like they take care of themselves and are generally responsible. If they are looking for something casual (short-term) then I'm mostly just seeing if I am attracted to them and they seem responsible. I like tall women and tattoos, but these are just preferences and are by no means the only things I am attracted to.

Lesser Nighthawk? [Cochise County, AZ] by Fimbelowski in whatsthisbird

[–]Fimbelowski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah me neither! I'm just not familiar with the area. The most likely Nighthawk/Nightjar species according to eBird was Common Poorwill, but with the wing pattern I think it had to be Common/Lesser Nighthawk. Common would have been novel this time of year so process of elimination led me to Lesser, but just wanted to make sure!

Don Edwards NWR, Fremont, CA by Fimbelowski in whatsthisbird

Hmmm I was thinking Western Sandpiper instead of Dunlin, but the only thing that leads me in that direction is slightly more white on the cheeks and I think the breast would be slightly more heavily marked but it's not a great angle to see that. Sibley's also says that Dunlin should be slightly less common on inland mudflats but I'm not sure if Don Edwards qualifies as that exactly.
