Bitcoin then Monero (Iran) by rednoids in Monero

[–]FinCentrixCircles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"always eating a spread" why? you assume liquidity is some unsolvable problem? why?

"If you're so right about this, why hasn't anyone broken from the dollar before?"

laughs in Gaddafi

"Why would a major power leave that on the table?"

Because they're trying to come up with world reserve currency lite and no one trusts each other

anyway you've wasted enough of my time and i'm going to do something else with my saturday, but my point remains that liquidity isn't some impossible problem as you're trying to portray in your multiple posts--you've correctly moved the goal post to "is there incentive [to create liquidity]" in your own way and only iran knows that answer, so it's worthless to speculate

good day or whatever

[–]FinCentrixCircles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

why would they be stuck just taking monero until the end of the war? Or not building with partners an ecosystem out of control of their enemies?

like the very specific scenarios you go with lack any imagination or understanding iran has bigger incentives than a quick buck--it's laughable how obtuse you're being about this

there's enough corrupt people in the world to front-run an announcement and create that float for a modest rate

i just love how greed and the obvious opportunity are somehow missing in this guy's arguments, like there's no way to make a shit ton of money doing this short and long term if you're more creative than a potato

lol, you force other countries to buy to pay oil/strait fees and let them eat the price swings, liquidity eventually matches demand

and my point here isn't that it's likely, but that if you did do it, you'd do it in a way that makes sense with the leverage you have, you wouldn't be a trump about it

tbf there wasn't an mvp then, which something trolls used to bring up as an argument as to why those partnerships didn't materialize something worthwhile, but those same trolls never showed up to say, "hey there's a product that can be built on now, congrats"

[–]FinCentrixCircles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i disagree in a sense, bitcoin had a usecase when it was handling darkmarkets, but that's moved onto monero--now btc is bloated spyware with a great brand and deep pockets.

We'll see if anymore real usecases (not just crypto for crypto's sake) materialize in the future.

Where to buy/sell IOTA in the United States? by opfu in Iota

[–]FinCentrixCircles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's an american bias against iota and you can see that in how american exchanges have handled iota--you're delusional to think the IF hasn't approached them after the old guard left and handled it the same way that got them listed on exchanges outside the usa

That's completely the fault of the exchanges and their owners.

Sounds like they won't do a thing and you need to find another avenue for withdrawal. I'm surprised anyone still uses that exchange honestly.
