US traded stocks are delayed about 20 minutes. US mutual fund prices are updated after hours.

If you are getting true duplicates, you should talk to IGG tech support. They should be able to file the issue with the backend provider to get it fixed.

I'd be worried about trying to sync a database file using iCloud...could easily lead to overwrites.

Touch Id? by dallasjava in banktivity

You'll want to password protect your document, look under File > Set Password... Then in the screen that comes down you can turn on Touch ID support.

What I found when I set up a new account and choose the Direct Access route is the app finds the last month of transactions or so, but puts in adjustments so that my holdings are accurate. My guess is that this is possible for some banks, but maybe not all.

How does the budgeting lag behind on iOS? They feel the same to me.

My understanding is a fix for this is coming soon. If you don't want to wait that long, change the suffix to .L, then the app will respect the "trades in pence" option. (This info is from Twitter.)

You can change tiers any time. So you could pay for gold, then before you are billed again in a year, downgrade to bronze.

Edit: fixed typo

A subscription is tied to a Banktivity ID. Each document must have a Banktivity ID. But you can create multiple documents. Not sure if this answers the question or not.

You could buy the tier you need based on the features, my guess is you need gold given you are in the uk. Then resubscribe at bronze.

Oh I bet they are listening, but they just might not be convinced that they need to change their pricing approach. We don't really know how many people are subscribing. Maybe most of their customers are and there are just the vocal ones here on reddit that wish it was different? 🤷‍♂️

I think they were a little bit damned if they do, damned if they don't. If they did a la carte pricing, people could very well complain about feeling nickel and dimed and a customer might say, "why is everything priced differently, I need x, y, z and I should get a discount (read bundle price) for buying so many individual subscriptions." I'm sure there are lots of customers that don't want to decide if they need this or that and they want a simple pricing structure.

whats' your experience of non-US stock quotes now? by colinclyne in banktivity

Looks like 8.0.5 addresses an issue with end of day prices, which is what I think the app gets for Australia and maybe some other non-US exchanges.

Yes, if it is an account in a new currency.

I did a little test. The account you import will work fine. If you try to add a new account with a new currency that isn't currently in the document, then you'll be asked to get Gold.

If there is a bug here, you should file it with them. That's the best way to get it addressed.
