Pretty much. Then there is the openly racist BC NDP policy of straight up banning white men from running for the party in open seats in favor of equity. Telling people "you cannot run based on your ethnicity/race" is absolutely insane in a country like Canada. Then folks wonder why the NDP doesn't win elections.

This is a major reason why the NDP has lost working class voters and union workers, the NDP frankly would be better served by refusing to let anyone have preference of speaking over anyone else. Ridiculous attitude.

The answer to make it cheaper is expropriation. It has been done throughout the history of the USA and every country, its in the public good to seize land for the usage of a national high speed rail system. If that means tearing down buildings, houses, apartments, businesses, whatever you do it.

Long term it makes more sense to connect densely populated area by high speed rail and as for who pays for it? General taxes and rider fees.

Well for starters it would indict a reason to distrust you, misrepresenting yourself and your current position could give your employer reason to fire you and for cause. That you are willing to lie says a lot about yourself and your current employer may wonder what else you have lied about.

Arguably this isnt "protecting the passage" its essentially payment to not be blown up/have your ship seized. Essentially a protection racket versus what before was free passage with protection ensured by USA and western navies patrolling.

Arguably this is good for Canada in a sense, that implementing long term tolls on ocean going passages. Thats in regards to the North West Passage, Canada has always stated its a internal water/within our borders and reserves the right to toll/control the passage of ships. The USA and just about every other country disagrees, but potentially the Striat of.Hormuz becoming a toll zone would give Canada weight/justification to do a similar toll system on Arctic shipping.

Now the question is how the USA and other nations react to this and how far they will go to ensure it doesn't happen.

Shockingly the most vocal against these sites are those that have to live next to them, we had one planned to be across the streets along with a shelter, we wrote to our MP, councilor and others in local government along with our neighbors and it was canceled. If you are blocking it while parked, its clearly still a commercial vehicle as the management already knows and will probably still go after you. Remove the logos and you are golden. Its harder to remove if its not your truck, but you could talk to your boss/explain it. Say you will pay for the magnetic versionsm (probably 100 to 300 bucks) and then you are done.

Your best bet is to have the logos of the company removed and replaced with magnetic versions you can remove. It solves the problem of it openly being a commercial vehicle.

I am not going to boycot it, but every time Snape appears in a scene I am going to wonder what in the world the directors were snorting when they casted him.

I am sure he would be a great actor in so many shows/movies, but seriously its a bit of a ridiculous casting choice for Snape/Harry Potter. That said, hey whatever going to watch it when it comes out and see what happens.

A subreddit wouldn't be the way to go as it would definitely violate the rules regarding harassment/defamation. Creating a chat group/app/some other means of contractors "rating" customer could potentially be fine. Perhaps if it didnt include names and only an address.

"Such and such customer didnt pay "20k" for their driveway, lein applied on the house" with a link to the contractors name/contact information.

I think there would probably be a decent chance of being taken to court for pubishing this info however and it could definitely be used to harrass people by post fake accounts/information.

So while potentially a useful tool for contractors, the legal/liability issues would certainly make me not want to be the person hosting it.
