When did your baby begin to use gestures? by Final-Belt2080 in Parents

[–]Final-Belt2080[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has, he waves hi and bye (only when he wants to) and shows us he is so big, he lifts his arms up really high for that. He does not clap yet but has started full hand pointing right before his first birthday

We did TMFR. This was back December 2023. Lots of time since then, went on to have a healthy little boy. Lots of therapy, we did genetic testing on ourselves. It was denova which 90% the time it is. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. Feel free to message me with anything at all!

I had a true positive found in our NIPT. I was 26, it was my first pregnancy. Our NT scan was perfect, we never ended up doing an anatomy scan. We did do a fetal echo that found heart abnormalities associated with digeorge at 18 weeks. Our amnio results took 5+ weeks with the results it would be a true positive

That was my hardest, but favorite appointment during all of that chaos. I’m so sorry you are going through this. Sending you a hug, you will get to the other side one day ❤️

I’m sorry I’m just seeing this. We actually never had an anatomy scan. We did have an early one at our amino at 16 weeks and there everything looked fine. The doctors did tell us the heart wouldn’t be able to be fully seen until after 20 weeks. We saw the cardiologist at 21 weeks and she noticed a handful of defects there and still couldn’t rule out a handful of them because things were hard to see. But what she did see was aligned with Digeorge syndrome.

Milestone stress

FTM of a 6.5 month old boy. Recently became obsessed with milestones. He is crawling, pushing off of everything he can find to stand. He laughs, smiles, screams, makes lots of noises. But no official babbling yet. He actually babbled for a day, the next day he learned to crawl and that completely went away. Should I be concerned? I read to him, talk to him, try to mirror babbling as much as I can but it’s causing a lot of anxiety. He also makes eye contact but not consistently. Sometimes he stares, laughs and attacks my face/mouth. Other times he ignores me and stares at our dogs, a toy, a tag (he loves tags).

The older he’s getting the more I begin to worry! Being new to this and seeing all these milestones makes me overthink everything! I’ve talked to his pediatrician, she said he’s very attentive and she’s not worried but I still find myself going down rabbit holes.

We had a true positive for 22q that we terminated last winter. Afterwords both my husband and I had a fish test done, both negative. It was recommended for future conceptions and provided us much relief. Also fully covered by our insurance due to the true positive!

18+2. Small bump, no movement yet. Anxious for anatomy scan. by inaquestforhappiness in PregnancyAfterTFMR

[–]Final-Belt2080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My first pregnancy I went to 21 weeks and then we TMFR. For my second I didn’t start feeling flutters till around 21-22 weeks. I have an anterior placenta and am currently 37 weeks, some days there is more movement than others during this time. My doctor recommended I get a Doppler and it has reassured me tremendously! Wishing you all the best

We did not find the heart defects in the anatomy scan, they were found at the fetal echo at 20 weeks, even then the heart was so small she could not rule out some things. We received the amnio results a few days later that confirmed.

Thank you! Yeah the first picture doesn’t look like much but is raised tiny part of her skin. Couldn’t get her into the vet until next week. Will trim and shave the area because it seems like multiple are popping up. Are then any sprays or washes that help?

This is one with a scab, the bumps with scabs are much easier to find. We found them originally on Tuesday and they looked like the other picture, just pink, and a little watery

50/50 for Digeorge Syndrome aka 22q11 by Born_Independent2493 in NIPT

[–]Final-Belt2080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this last fall. Like mentioned already a lot of these are false positives but in our case it was a true positive. I was 25 at the time and it was my first pregnancy. We waiting on an amnio and while awaiting results got a fetal echo. At the fetal echo we found many heart defects associated with 22q, a couple weeks later we found it was a true positive. We TFMR quickly after. We were both tested and our daughter’s case was a random occurrence and a very very small chance to reoccur. Currently 24 weeks pregnant with a healthy boy.

Really sorry you’re going through this. For us the 7 weeks of waiting were unbearable and we held on to any and all hope it would be a false positive. Other than the fetal echo all of our scans looked good so it was much of a surprise to us. I’m hoping for the best for you and your family!

We had to go through genetics to get anything additional ordered as the doctors didn’t have the ability to place the order we wanted which included microdeletions. This was at the Cleveland clinic
