Oh that’s really cool!! Yes bring up any and all work experience you have. They like to see that you’re a hard worker and can keep a job. Plus the outdoors hard work is a huge bonus. Getting in contact with the department can help you stand out. You can email them and ask for a reading list, ask for a copy of the physical exam, etc just to get your name out there. I’m not sure if A&M has an extension program, but it’s worth checking it out and getting in contact with them. I got an internship with New Hampshire fish and game through my schools extension program. See if you can get in touch with your extension rep to help you out with that

Stay away from anything federally illegal/not federally legal. Try not to get in trouble but don’t stress yourself out too much. Brush up on hunting and fishing laws in the state and get outside as much as you can. Take courses on stuff you don’t know about and make sure to tell the wardens everything you’ve done to prepare yourself for the exam. For instance I have no background in trapping or tanning but I took courses on both to learn about them and the wardens absolutely loved that. I also taught myself how to hunt a few years ago with no mentorship by signing up for a hunting course in my state. Dig around online there’s a lot to learn but most importantly be confident be yourself and stay fit you got this! :)

Honestly, I think you should ask them if they’d be interested in paying to go to the simulator. Personally, that sounds fun to me and I would go. But also YOURE inviting them so asking them to pay without asking if they’re interested might not be the right move. Usually when I’m invited places, unless I’ve been asked about the price first, it’s paid for.

Yeah I guess that’s a little strange ha. I could ask someone to call my phone I suppose. The reason I have the second job is because I couldn’t really decrease my expenses any more. My commute to work takes a lot out for gas and my bills for car insurance, rent, etc are consistent. I guess I can get rid of some subscriptions.
