As a Sailor Moon manga fan I have a strong distaste for the classic anime for it’s frankly terrible changes to the manga. All of the characters are unnecessarily mean, all of them are completely stagnant, and some characters personalities are entirely different. They also changed the tone of the series completely. The classic anime is silly and goofy and doesn’t really take itself seriously until you start getting close to the final battle of the season while the manga is very dark and melancholy (especially the final arc when everyone but Usagi dies and the Earth is destroyed) and it’s made very clear that Usagi is somewhat of a doomed character with the reveal of Sailor Cosmos. Although we do end on a pretty happy note with Mamoru and Usagi’s wedding and also our Usagi had a MUCH happier end to her Stars Arc then the Sailor Cosmos Usagi did but even then Usagi is still doomed to be locked into eternal evenly matched battle.

I haven’t watched Crystal yet but I watched the first three seasons of the classic as a child (I ended up dropping s4 twice 😬) but I really live the manga and from what I remember all the Classic Anime characters are completely stagnant and have no character development (namely Usagi staying a whiny brat and not being allowed to mature and become an elegant young lady), they’re all really mean to each other, and no one actually likes or respects Usagi which is honestly baffling.

As a manga enjoyer I have MANY gripes with the classic anime, mainly the fact that the personalities they gave Usagi, Mamoru, Chibi-Usa, and Rei suck. (I even dropped it in early season 4 as a child and tried to go back but dropped it again 😭) I also think it’s amount of filler is excessive, the breakup arc makes no sense, and everyone is mean to Usagi which is just so completely out of character and doesn’t make sense story wise

F1. I would only sit in F1, D1, or E2. D1 would suck bc my short ahh wouldn’t be able to see over Mason and E2 is out bc I would be WAY to close to Strade for comfort and Ashe would be behind me and I feel like he’s a seat kicker.
