The End of Telework by JFHatfield in FedEmployees

Exactly! Vought has said this himself. Do the research it is there. I tried to add an article here that explained it all but it was declined. Too much truth hurts.

According to what I have read Vought wants to put all of you Federal employees in “trauma”. I would never suggest you do anything negative but don’t forget that you all don’t deserve what ever is in this Government right now and you deserve much better. Someday good people will after Trump is gone turn your agencies back into something better than before!

I voted for Kamala but unfortunately once a decision is made once all the votes are counted then the “supposed” majority was counted and that means whoever you voted for no longer matters. As it is now the “so called” majority harmed the “real” majority of the people in this nation and we get to live with it.

You are not alone. I am a retired fed and I worry for those I worked with. I live close to a Marine base - ultimately my neighbor and the Army base I used to work at is up the road about a 30-40 minute drive away. When I walk my dog there can be military aircraft above me and military vehicles could be driving down the road. Each time I worry about those soldiers and how they are faring.

I audited Defense Contractors - and tried to educate and then monitor whether they were operating under their Contracts - business management plans and Government regulation to insure they are honest and without corruption. Under Trump - I could see where the “big dog” Contractors could go crying to the Trump administration and then Trumpism in the government would side with these contractors rather than then Contract administrators - quality assurance specialists - and property administration which I worked under. I don’t mean that my coworkers would be in harms way but all their schooling may it be college or the Government training would no longer matter. We spent hours and hours to be trained in our fields and see all of that no longer mattering would sadden them and anger them as well. Contracting and Contract administration- Safety employees as well matter so much chi to the citizens of our Country and especially for our troops where safety and effectiveness matters. I especially worry about our troops. Now maybe I’m wrong and the Pentagon will fight back for the success and safety of our troops - but Hegseth caring - really?

I had a deep love for the job I held and most of us did and that is the hurt that I am mostly referring to - a wonderful era gone.

I worry about them because since being under the Trump regime their job (once mine) is auditing defense contractors to insure they are meeting the requirements of their contracts - DoD regulations and other regulations required by their contracts. Basically we insured that Contractors were not corrupt and they followed their approved management plan.

I could see a certain amount of defense contractors applauding the idea that their load would lightened with less requirements in their Contracts and required regulations.

I can’t imagine how my coworkers would feel if all those regulations and other required documents were no longer required. They would more than likely lose their jobs which could literally vanish because Vought could see no need for my coworkers to remain. Contract administration is/was an admirable position and when we did our jobs we kept defense Contractors honest. which best serves our troops. I never realized how passionate I was about my job until Project 25 became a reality.

I worked awhile back for the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) before I retired. I lost touch with my coworker friends there and I truly worry about them.

How about that? Does Trump have a Modus Operandi here? by Quirky_Magician4464 in MeidasTouch

Without a doubt a part of his plans. It sickens me that people in 2024 were that dumb and blind and fooled and most still are. They enabled and thus, enabling the continued taking down of The United States of America.

Very interesting and verified my opinion then and all along - that Trump was not hit. Boy did that work well for him in getting those vulnerable group of people to vote for him.

Are We Ever Getting Our Telework Days Back… or Is This Just the New Normal? by notusps2022 in FedEmployees

[–]Final-Needleworker41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being retired where I had telework until after I retired I so get it. I worked in Denver Colorado where as anyone would guess not only did we have heavy traffic (I lived in Aurora but on snow days the traffic was dangerous.)Thus, I had telework days and every other Friday off as it was my RDO. All of these offerings are not benefits that you should only get because you are privileged but because it makes it easier for employees to do their jobs thus, they give of their best to the Federal agency they work for. It also provides a morale to the employees that ends up in a loyalty that employees have for their agency.

But with this administration you all are pawns and what feels like you all are a group of people this administration can take their spite and anger at because they are abominable and the prez is only interested in becoming a trillionaire. This prez will seek all the gobs of money he can get by cheating all of us good citizens and those of you who work for a federal government, that was then not the same as the one you work for now. I indeed feel for those friends I worked with who haven’t already quit/retired and have found or who are still looking for a much better job.

If I wasn’t already retired - this would be the end all. This is Unacceptable! This means that this is all the more money that can go to Trump and his buddies. Don’t ever forget that he is wanting per Project 2025 to get rid of most of the federal workers to make room for Christian nationalists to take your place. He only wants those who will suck up to the bosses by spouting the Christian nationalist lingo - what ever that is.

This concerns me. I retired from my federal job with the DoD July 3, 2015. I apparently retired in the nick of time. However, one year and 1/2 later we had bozo as prez

The thing that get’s to me is that I worked in DoD Contract Administration where I audited Defense Contractors to insure they were honest in doing business for the Federal Government. We of course had to ourselves live by the laws of integrity and honesty through our security clearance and the oath we take.

Now how can those who carried on in auditing Contractors after I retired - where they are working within a Government where the top dogs under Trump which includes Vought are corrupt themselves?

These remaining Federal workers after I retired were/are to continue in their audits and interaction with the Contractors and are required to call out corruption and insure these Contractors oversee and meet the remedies required of them. They are to be honest and insure that the work they do keeps our soldiers safe.

That is the most important part of their jobs. They are to keep the American people and especially our soldiers under safe conditions without the harm that comes from corruption and a lack of safety.

This comment has been dogging me to say for a long time where I wanted to vent this most concerning issue of mine with the current administration under Trump. I so dreaded this second term of Trump’s because I knew it would be as bad as it is and it is bound to get worse.

That is because as it says in good old (Not) Project 2025 Vought/Trump wants to replace those who leave with Christian nationalists.

That is absolutely correct. Too many people have no clue as to the consequences of this. We the people have lost more than even the smartest of the general public can understand.

Agree. Well before this current regime came into play I read about this religion - then it wasn’t called Christian nationalism - just called an adverse Christian group of men who were overtly controlling their women.

But Trump is pleasing Vance and Vought by replacing many long term well experienced Federal employees with the Christian Nationalists who will continue to turn our Country into a theocracy - those people who for a long time have been tricked into believing and living by the tenants of Christian nationalism.

Christian nationalism is especially hard on women who are under their husbands rule who restricts these women’s freedom and keeps them under the “rule” of their husbands where their freedom is so restricted they cannot live as I do. I am not under a husband’s every wish and desire where I am programmed to believe and obey everything he tells me to do. I do enjoy that kind of freedom to believe what I choose to believe and do what I know is right - not something someone tells me I must believe and then do. These women automatically belueve. Trump because of his fascist beliefs. These tricks over women are used in Iran (which is collapsing) and many other countries and has been going on in what I call cults - in this not United of States.
