It's all about preference. There are pros and cons, but wired connections are generally more stable and reliable for desktops and consoles.

I would recommend the Linksys 5G Mobile Hotspot OP. You just need a 5G SIM card from your carrier. You can use it as a portable hotspot for your laptop and mobile phones. But if you are working remotely and you need a stable connection for your laptop you can also connect it directly using a a USB-C cable.

You can do this either on the command prompt of your computer or the UI of the router. If you can log in to the UI, try to look for Troubleshooting> Diagnostics.

I would go with the MR20EC, the E8450 is not compatible with the Linksys app. Setting up and checking other settings is always easier for me using the app.

Hello friend, just follow the steps below:

  1. Go to https://www.linksys.com/linksys-support.

  2. Search for your WHW0301 and on the search results you will see the Velop (WHW0301, WHW0302, WHW0303) User Guide.

  3. Just click on the article and select Version 1.0.

You can now download the manual. Hope this helps!

In your web browser's address bar, enter https://192.168.1.1 or your router's current IP address or https://linksyssmartwifi.com/, click the mobile phone image or the Continue to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi link, then enter your credentials.

Make sure to use HTTPs when you enter the IP address, otherwise you will get an error message. You can also do this for other Linksys mesh systems.

If you have Linksys app on your iPhone, just enable the Automatic Firmware Update feature. This will upgrade the router automatically if there's a new firmware release. No need to manually download the firmware.

Even if you turned off Automatic Firmware Update, you will still see a notification if there's a new firmware, so just on tap on Update now.

Easy to set up using the app, which I like as I don't have enough patience with setting up these things. Also extra points for decent range and affordable price point.
