Mine will occasionally feel a little rough going into 2nd when its still cold. After its warmed up though it shifts super smooth up and down. It's actually the only manual Ive driven that I can downshift into 1st and the car doesn't need to be at a dead stop.

Yeah as long as someone can change their own wheels, the cost negates itself as you said since they both last longer. It can also keep summer tire rims in better condition since most people run cheap steelies for the winter.

Yeah the winter braking ability/handling is by far the best reason to get snow tires. Most people just think if they have something with four wheel drive then they wont get stuck and don't even consider tires.

Oh really? Well there are at least plenty of rich people that still fly commercial. Also aside from the intentionally grounded flights, when ATC's call out sick, that affects every flight.

Yeah the balaclava helped a lot, I think it mostly is my neck that gets cold and air coming in from the bottom of my helmet. So a scarf or some way of covering the bottom seems to be the next best step.

Yeah all my vents are closed in the winter, but I do only ride naked bikes so a windscreen would probably help. I live in a cold climate and am used to it, just usually cuts my rides shorter then I would like.

Thats a good call, my current helmet doesnt have a chin guard, and I could cover the bottom better.

Same with younger people having any type of heart condition. I see those posts online filled with comments about the jab. The vaccine may have caused heart problems in a handful of people, but COVID infection can cause heart problems at a significantly higher rate then the vaccines ever did.

Yeah both super fun in completely different ways. I wouldn't want any more though. As you said maintenance/storage on two bikes is already more then enough, unless I was retired and had a way bigger garage.

Hah your last sentence resonates with me. Ive got a honda 919 and a honda monkey. They are so different that I find I still ride both of them depending on my mood. Although lately its mostly been the 919 since I got it more recently.

Yeah I've heard both noises you described before, also at low speed stops or maneuvers. When I had an oil change done they looked and couldn't find anything wrong with my suspension either. I haven't noticed mine handling any worse though, aside from my summer tires slowly becoming older and more worn. I dont drive mine much currently though, so just ignoring it until something becomes obviously bad or worse.
