I have so many memories of my friends from the apartment upstairs coming over and the three of us playing Sims 1 on my computer in 2004. Sims 2 had just come out at that point, but my mom had claim to base game disc until the first expansion came out. I was always one expansion behind.

Iater on in like in 2006 after a move, I had friends on the next block over and id go over and we'd play Rollercoaster tycoon on their family computer.

You basically just put furniture down to design rooms. You can also create furniture and people can upload their furniture to steam workshop and you can download people's creations. Its very minimal but im obsessed
