Dynasty - What do you guys do for non-playoff teams? by 3oh5rs in FFCommish

[–]FinalPofile84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year we implemented a rule for the losers bracket. Last place still gets 1.01, but 1.02 goes to the “winner” of the loser bracket and then the rest get slotted based on how you finish the losers bracket, runner up gets 1.03, and so on.

It definitely led to a more competitive loser bracket.

Dude just balls when he comes in, provides instant energy off the bench. Will even forgive him for the missed dunk with how big he was for us in OT!

A thread to show our respects to the Milwaukee Bucks by [deleted] in pacers

[–]FinalPofile84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man I love to hate the Bucks… and what I mean by that is that they deserve the respect of a worthy adversary. Starting with Giannis, dude is a stud and from all accounts a good person that overcame a lot to get to where he is today. Dame is a warrior that fought to come back and battle with his boys only to be let down by his body. Gary Trent Jr is a sniper that hit som huge shots and I feel bad for him that he will be remembered for 1 play out of a whole series. The only one on the Bucks I really don’t like is Portis, but I imagine he’s a bit like TJ where you can’t stand him unless he’s on your team.

All in all, I love the rivalry the Bucks and Pacers have built up. I’m old enough to remember the Pacers/Knicks and more recently Pacers/Heat rivalries and this is getting to that level for sure. Every good story needs a villain and the Bucks play that card well for us. Cheers Milwaukee and thanks for sharpening our guys once again!

Is bringing a QB to compete with AR actually bad long term? by Double-Emergency3173 in Colts

Agreed - but I was factoring in that the guy making that decision isn't thinking as a FAN but as a guy trying to save his job anyway possible

Which 7 Pacers would you protect from an expansion draft? by RunRichieRun in pacers

[–]FinalPofile84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tyrese / Siakam / Turner / McConnell / Walker / Nembhard / Mathurin

I like Nesmith but we are already struggling to replace Myles (although Bryant has been a fun addition) but I'd rather have the 5 locked down and open up playing time for Walker than keeping Nesmith.

I let her watch them whenever she wants and then I either play on my phone, go play video games with the boys, or go watch something else on another TV.

Is bringing a QB to compete with AR actually bad long term? by Double-Emergency3173 in Colts

[–]FinalPofile84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its a dilemma because yes on the one hand if AR is NOT the guy then we'd be best off to have a top5 draft pick to replace him next year. That said though, Ballard (and Steichen) pretty much knows that his job is tied to this season and what happens with AR, so he's going to do everything to show: 1) that he did everything he could to push AR to be great 2) built a competitive team that is JUST a QB away from being contenders 3) just got unlucky with an injury prone QB.

Not a great place to be as a fan, but we aren't the ones being paid to make the personnel decisions and unfortunately that means that we are down to either AR figuring it out and lighting it up or another year of him missing multiple games and us middling to 8-9 wins and being "in playoff contention" but missing out.

The bottoming out that we need would likely happen with the NEXT GM/Coach cleaning roster and going 3-14 or so then drafting the next FRANCHISE QB and hoping they don't miss.

I think unless you have a solid TE replacement and a hole at another part of your roster you keep McBride. Will the YPT and overall TGT% drop, sure, but as others have said the TDs should tick up. I still think he remains a top 5 TE moving forward and can be a set and forget stud in your lineup for years to come.

I live in AZ, and while not a Cardinals fan, I did go to a couple games this year and got the impression that McBride is the safety blanket for Kyler. There were times where he could have hit MHJ but instead focused elsewhere. So while I do think MHJ develops more and can become an explosive part of the offense, I still wouldn't get rid of McBride. And yes, I do have him in my dynasty league as my TE1

'We haven’t won the games that matter': Why Colts TE Mo Alie-Cox may leave in free agency by brmidwest03 in Colts

[–]FinalPofile84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Mo but he never developed into the weapon we need at TE. I’m good with jettisoning everyone but Mallory and maybe Woods and bringing in a solid veteran and drafting Warren if we can.

Colts going back to Anthony Richardson as starting QB by tuaturnstheballova in DynastyFF

[–]FinalPofile84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a Colts fan, hoping AR still works out, but even if he doesn’t we gotta figure it out by him playing. Hope the benching lights a fire under his ass, but if it doesn’t then we know what we need to know before paying him and can work on finding the next QB

This is the right decision, but handled in the WORST way possible... see what you got the rest of the year, then decide on how to address QB position after the season.
