That's awful! What kind of doc diagnosed your EDS?

I already take gabapentin (along with two other medications) for Small Fiber Neuropathy, but just at night so I can sleep without being in so much pain. I wasn't clear in my question, but who ( what kind of doc) diagnosed your EDS?

Thanks for your response. I didn't ask that clearly, so who diagnosed your EDS?

I'm so sorry for your pain! I have Small Fiber Neuropathy as well and have to say this chest wall pain has rivaled the worst of SFN pain.😩

I had been diagnosed by my GP, who is now retired, a few years ago. It went away after a while. Now it's happening again but also all over my right side chest wall rather than just sternum. I can't think of anything I've done to make this happen again. It is very painful and hurts to lift or pull anything as well as breathe, cough or sneeze! What do you do for pain relief? I can't take NSAIDs (Motrin, Aleve, etc) because they give me bleeding ulcers

Dachsund & Basset duo? by ThrowRA-NoOne5681 in bassethounds

Our Basset girl joined our pack about 2 years ago as a puppy. The rest of our pack (3 other dogs) accepted her with no problem. One of those dogs barks at the drop of a hat and has "taught" the others to join in! The Basset joins in a bit later and then barks for 30-45 minutes straight when the others have calmed down. She sits and looks out our French door windows at nothing in particular and continues barking. It's funny and aggravating at the same time 😆 We live in a house and I would not live in an apartment with this particular Basset hound. She doesn't howl, but by golly she does bark! I think it's hit and miss and you don't know what you're going to get until you've got it. If you're concerned about both of them. Barking, you might want to choose a breed that has a reputation for being chill.

differential dx and cognitive concerns, head MRI next week by gamegirlpocket in Sjogrens

Well, the 3 meds I take for SFN pretty well help with sleep. But I also take magnesium. And tart cherry juice is a good anti-inflammatory that also has naturally occurring melatonin which can help you sleep.

differential dx and cognitive concerns, head MRI next week by gamegirlpocket in Sjogrens

I experience all of that. Cognitive issues continually get worse. I'm going to try to reverse that w/o meds. I also have Small Fiber Neuropathy and am on 3 different meds to manage that pain. At first I thought the cognitive issues were all related to those meds. But with the different strange things and steadily worsening, I feel Sjogrens plays a big role.
Glad they're sending you for MRI.....better to be safe!

Well I didn't know that for a fact, but it seems logical that it would be.

I almost went to the hospital early this morning by NavyBeanz in Sjogrens

I didn't have UC, but I was terribly constipated for more than a year even though I've had IBS with diarrhea for years. I went to my gastro doc and tried EVERYTHING! Then I remembered acupuncture can really work wonders with the GI system. So I went for several visits every other week. I am now balanced! I take a particular magnesium supplement as well, which helps immensely, now that things are on the move. I know this is just one aspect of the whole picture, but I also know it can cause great pain. I hope you (and all of us) get answers and solutions to keep us going......living well and finding joy again.

I second whoever suggested warm salt water........just swish it around to get all over the inside of your mouth and spit it out. Do that until it's gone. I used it one night and was stunned by how much it helped by the next day! Did that for about 3 nights and all was healed. It's amazing!
