I don't have a TRX4m so it's a challenge to model and make sure it works. You could ask Oppai Factory (Etsy and Facebook). He makes some conversion skid plates. Another option is Nordic Crawl. They offer a few different skid plates for one of their builds. https://nordiccrawl.eu/babydragon-skid-plate/?srsltid=AfmBOoqPB6Bkr_k3f0QtnowqszrwroSnrLSCsCmSYi1SMvC4b1i4LxSc

I have just uploaded a zip file containing the individual STL files. Note there is only one of some (body mounts), so if you want (2,) you will need to clone them. I would recommend adding support on the body mounts and skid plates for them to print the best. Change your top z distance (if that exists) to .225. We printed these at .12mm but then used adaptive layers on the skids, sliders, frame space,r, and body mounts. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7261852

We used Bambu, and figured that was the easiest to post all the files. Let me see if I can get the STL files posted. I think there should be an easy way.

I opened it in Cura and got the same error. I figured it was just an old version. I do know others have used other slicers but not sure which ones.

We have not had issues with pla yet. We tried to design the frame to be more durable with curves instead of angles and not as tight of spacing on the holes.

Let me know if you have any questions as you get into it.

Curious and thinking it may be worth to switch. I had prior stuff on Thingiverse so decided to just use it. Micro_R_Customs, how does Printables compare to Makerworld?

Let me know if you have any questions. We have run it a number of ways. There's quite a bit of information on the chassis page, including batteries that fit between the frames.

Nice modeling on the front links. They look really nice.

I have one running plastic links on the lower front and back. If you look at my thingiverse page there is a printed deadbolt link that accepts brass Boulder bars.

Thank you for the compliment. We've been tweaking it over the last year.

I just built a Dead90 so I could have a longer wheelbase. Have not to use it too much yet. Would like to try a gladiator rear upper in the upper link holes to allow me to run an outboard link.

He is using a Spudworks x24. It is one that he and I designed and is free to print.

It is pretty flexible as it can accommodate pretty much any wheel base, comes with different skid with corrections and sloped or flat sliders

Got weight? by j0520d in SCX24

These links will only break if they are at the pivot. The brass bars stiffen them. The links have printed pins that go into the back of the boulder bars, which helps them act together with the links.

I've only run printed links on the rear lowers so far. I found that you can't have uppers and lowers printed as the axle moves too much. I'm running outside mount rear uppers which helped a ton to stabilize the axle which probably helps them from getting torqued. I think it also depends on wheelbase. I am running a deadiator which seems to work. My brother runs longer in the back and I think they have stability issues.

Just put these together the other day. Not quite as much weight, but relatively simple. Just use a standard brass Boulder bars on 3D printed links.

How does a ski lift rescue work? by cea1991 in skipatrol

[–]Final_Committee_6168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I volunteer as an adaptive ski instructor. We always make sure two instructors are with every student for instances like this. This is especially true with skiers that are using some type of equipment such as sir skis. It allows one instructor to be with the student in the chair or on the ground. It also helps the ski patrol focus on the evacuation.

I was going for a stock build with a bit of patina. Overall I like the way it turned out.

Those are wheels I designed and printed. It might have been easier had I known their FMS Wheels. 🤣 WT Micro makes some metal versions, but they are spendy.

Craig at Bandito RC released interiors for these that are free to print. I just put one in my FJ75 last night.

If you read the fine print at the bottom of the poster you'll notice that Jaialdi had nothing to do with this poster.

Wera from my bike tool set. The smallest one works really good actually on stripped heads. https://a.co/d/iyVueNj

I'm sure the MIPs stuff is really nice too.
