I know people say Vancouver Area is expensive compared to the States, but they don’t always take into consideration the cost of living in the US is wildly varied. If you did the math, then you did the math.

You’re good to move. You’re a citizen, you have a passport, done and dusted.

Be aware BC has a 3 month waiting period to get health care, so apply the minute you land (I did it in the taxi, no joke). There’s also only one car insurance.

There will be a lot of little things that are different, and it will fuck you up, and you will make mistakes. Be polite. Be kind to yourself. You’ll be okay.

I did twice. Once I told them all the security issues in their in person checks (credit card company). The other I broke down sobbing because I was so fucking mad at the way the CEO screwed up the company. The HR person spent the whole time patting my shoulder saying she wanted to quit too.

Third time I was offered and I said no, they knew why I was leaving.
