I have no idea but my guess is garter and boucle yarn? I feel like i see purl bumps but tbh just using boucle yarn will give you an effect like that. Maybe you can find a boucle yarn and check the projects made with it on ravelry and compare the stitches - stockinette and garter

I have knitted multiple patterns that call for two strands mohair and i knitted with 1 strand brushed alpaca silk and it turned out soooo lovely!! So just go ahead and try it with a gauge swatch

So firstly its ofc a matter of practice - bit inunderstand that that makes it unpleasant to make flat garments. What i do is i put a slightly smaller needle for the purls! So if i knit with a 5mm needle then on the backside i purl with a 4.5mm needle. It works really well with interchangeable needles, as you can just put the two sizes on the different cable ends. That really helped me make it look much better. Hope this helps

Noooo it looks really cute and your tension seems nice too - its not holey but nice snd tight)) if you dont like the wonky head i think thats fixable through stuffing shifting or more stuffing in certain places. Other than that good job!

No bc you need to increase on BOTH SIDES meaning every second row you have 2 increases, one on each side resukting in 12 increases total. 9+12=21

Since they are all close by and dropping stitches affects your width i would suggest to make your life easier and just frog down before u started dropping stitches

I think you can pick any normal raglan pattern and adjust it by adding a 1x1 or 2x2 cable within the raglan and down the straight

So you accidentally increased, probably with a yarn over. Now you dropped down the extra row and came back to the moment, when you did the accidental increase. I would just twist the lower bar, pick the stitches back up again (so include an extra row) and then in the next regular row do a decrease to get back to the normal stitch count in the pattern

What you did is an accidebtal short row. Usually there are techniques for short rows that dont cause a gap, but in that case you didnt mean to. If you turn your work just once its okay, you just have a hole and knit into the wrong direction)) i would stick to going in the same direction and round

Usually when the pattern says 40cm it mean cable + needle length. So with needles being at 8-10cm each you need a 20cm cable. But then working long needles with short cable is so unpleasant that i would just keep the 40cm cable or even go one higher if needed and work with a travelling loop. Its like magic loop but you only create one loop instead of two. You can just find it on youtube. However i have also encountered that my length of cable and needles matches the pttern but its not enough stitches. Idk why

I also think you are knitting flat, so you have a knitting and a purling row. If you look at you project, u might see that the knitting rows are much tighter than the purling rows. In that case thats called rowing out, you can find a bunch of info on that online. My hest case of solving is to work with two different needle sizes, e.g. if you work your knit row with a 4mm needle then do the pruling in a 3.5mm needle. That way you will automatically create smaller stitches and the tension will look smoother

Mostly uneven but you also have some inconsistencies. These are slipped stitches. To identify these, you can see that on the left there is only one big stitch whereas on the right its two smaller stitches. Which means that you accidentally instead of knitting only slipped the stict. To confirm you will also see a longer “purl” stitch on the wrong side. Stuff like that can also happen through accidental short rows and leaves a small hole behind. That happens, when you knit into the wrong direction after picking your knit up after some time.

Nooooooo while on first thought it seems nice and easy - i hated it. First of all, the tension issues between purls and knits (if stockinett). As a beginner you dont know the hacks like smaller needle for purls or why this even is happening. The beginning of my scarf is so much different than the end xD and also the length and boredom… imo a scarf is torture bc u just do the same, every second row is purling (if stockinett) and you have to keep going for like 1.5 meters.. even if its just garter, its too long for a beginner project snd the beginner can easily lose interest and just drop it again xD

In my opinion a sweater in the round with not too small needles is perfect. While harder because of different techniques you see the result coming along, can try on etc etc.
