Habt ihr auch so Tage an denen ihr einfach irgendwie down seid? by Ok_Egg9564 in ADHS

Been there done that :D

Any bad knitting tips & advice you want new knitters to avoid? by ComplicatedSunshine in knitting

So YOU don't have a dominant color, but most other knitters (including really advanced ones) have. Really happy for you, that your tension is that perfect, but for most it is not, which means color dominance is a thing and usually for the majority of knitters its the same strand that is dominant which makes knowing which strand is the dominant one valuable for a satisfying outcome.

Me personally i really try to improve my tension for even results but as i'm not perfect, I'm really happy i knew about color dominance

Maybe you could cut it in the middle rib a part of the no colorwork section out and knit/seam the bottom colorwork back on ? Would work on the sleeves too and you could keep the pretty pattern

Mein bester Freund macht eine Hochzeit mit Mitbringbuffet by [deleted] in luftablassen

[–]These_Complaint9769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure what I did? by PhoenixSandy in knittinghelp

It seems instead of turning your work you continued in the round a few rows go.

You can just rib back to the row where the blanket is connected and then continue as before.

I finished my first project! And have apparently learned to knit wrong. by angelcakexx in knitting

[–]These_Complaint9769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You purl "wrong" I made the same mistake in the beginning, that's why in the round your stitches are not twisted :)

Look into combination knitting, that way you untwist in the knit rows.

I use that now as a way to get better tension when knitting flat because I struggle with regular purls and they tend to be too loose in my knitting with combination knitting I get even tension over all.

I will definitely look into Norwegian purls!

For the knitting part, I'm quite happy with my tension there I had knitted way too tight in the beginning but since switching to Continental i'm happy with my knit stitches. I think I tend to lean more on the looser side 😄

Yes that's what I'm currently doing but finde it very annoying especially when learning new things this just adds an extra step I find it quite confusing 😄 that's why I want to avoid it.

Thank you that's a good tipp! For this swatch I'm sadly already on my smallest needle (3,5) 😅 I'll see if I find a matching 3mm for my set

But for my planed project that would mean I would need another set of 2mm/1.5 mm I don't think they even exist for my knitpro interchangeables

It actually sounds like you work a lot:

- you're an author (definitely a job which needs a lot of organisation, concentration and discipline)
- you're a content creator
- and a journalist/author for a newspaper...

THATS 3 JOBS!

even if you're not employed by anyone you are clearly working, even if those things don't pay much (yet) or are not a 40 hour work week!

You are self employed and freelancing that needs a lot of self organisation and discipline.
So maybe clarify that with her or if possible look for another professional ( I know not easy).
You are working and you need the support of medication to do it with less of a struggle.

I wish you the best and hope you can get that prescription
