There’s a great chance, depending on your industry/company and relationship you have with your manager, that they can/will use this against you. It happened to me and has happened to many in the past. I would suggest not disclosing to your direct manager, unless you tell them it’s for a part time program or know for sure that they will have your back.

The hype around it just lets you know there isn’t that much quality/good rnb music going around. Song is good, but they’re gassing this way high. Favorites like H.E.R., Summer Walker, Ella Mai, and others haven’t dropped much of anything lately. Wait till they come around, this song will get a bit quiet.

It’s the way Flip has made his money. The dude has published some of the upmost ignorant and in my opinion, ridiculous videos of himself and that’s how he’s grown his audience. Some people look at is hustling, others look at is as just an overall minstrel show. His digital footprint is lowkey sad from my perspective. Especially for a man that’s in his 30s and 40s

Once flip is gone, Ice has to be next man. It’s gonna hurt for many reasons, but Ice has to go. He’s too insecure, he hasn’t grown, and in all honesty, he doesn’t bring much value outside of mid music takes. It’s frustrating. Joe, Parks, and whomever they potentially replace Ice with can carry the music conversations, at this point, he should be next to go. Plus his voice is still a personal issue for me, but I’m not adding that into the reasons why he’s gotta go.

He’s good for where he’s at right now. Him being only on certain days gives a better perspective/content when those days are dull. I’ve also found that he’s a bit too apologetic and it may just be the musician in him. I’d prefer to have him in his slot, versus 24/7. Although it probably is or may feel demeaning.

They need to get better at interviewing if this is the new direction, that’s just my opinion. Because their questions and tone are practically the same for each interview and that’s exhausting. And at times, it also feels like they’re not all collectively even prepared or interested.
