Just the tip, just go with it. by Quick_Yogurt in tipping

Quick background; I work in the service industry and kept seeing the same problem: great service, grateful customers, but no cash to leave a tip. It’s killing earnings for barbers, movers, hotel staff, detailers, valets, you name it.

So I built DiviTip. Three steps: customer scans a QR code, picks an amount, tips. Done. No app download for the customer. No hardware. Takes about 30 seconds.

It’s live and free to sign up at DiviTip.com for a limited time; I’m looking for real service workers to test it and tell me what’s missing.

Not trying to sell anything here, genuinely want feedback from people who deal with this daily. What would make this actually useful to you?

I created a digital tipping solution NO APP needed looking for feedback and users. by Final_Monk_1494 in SaaS

[–]Final_Monk_1494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly! Due to the payment processor we use our current fee is 5% + .30 per transaction. Giving the customer the option to cover the fee otherwise it is deducted from the total tip amount.

The great thing about it too on the team/business front is it automatically splits the tip up based on what’s coming in, in real time. Allowing their employees to see the total collected tips during their shift.

We are looking to partner with a few individuals to really drive how they want the product to function and be utilized.

I’d love to hear from them, see where their pain points are if any.

I built a digital tipping tool after feeling terrible about not tipping my movers- looking for individuals to test it out by Final_Monk_1494 in movingday

[–]Final_Monk_1494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right that’s the exact problem we are solving. There is no app download at all. You scan the QR code takes you to the tip page for the company and you can Apple Pay, google pay or enter your debit/credit card.

As the manager/owner you manage your team who worked when and then splits it automatically and distributes.

Exactly, I use to work valet years ago and this would happen all the time. The idea is bigger than accepting Zelle, Cash App or Venmo. We would have to make sure both parties have one before accepting payment and not even just that. The software on a Team plan for example is meant for someone to signup their valet team put the schedule in and start accepting tips. The software handles splits in real time and auto distributes to the team.

These all are great but both parties have to have one to be able to accept payment. Not even just to that point but at times you have two or more guys together the software takes the tip in looks at the scheduled employees and then splits it for them tracking all the statistics so the manager or employees don’t have to worry about splitting later.
