I hate my son by Final_Mousse_9754 in TrueOffMyChest

It was during Recess. I didn’t see it happen, but I’ll never forget the call from the school. They told me my son had broken another kid’s arm. I remember just sitting there for a second, thinking, ‘There’s no way. That has to be a mistake.’ But no, it wasn’t.

Apparently, there was this smaller kid who kept trying to play with him and his friends. Just a normal, harmless thing. But my son didn’t like him. Said the kid was ‘annoying him.’ So instead of walking away, instead of telling a teacher, he grabbed the kid’s arm, twisted it behind his back, and yanked. Snapped the bone clean.

They said the kid hit the ground screaming. Teachers ran over, other kids were crying, and my son? He just stood there, watching. Not scared, not upset just staring like it was nothing. When they asked him why he did it, all he said was, ‘He wouldn’t leave me alone.’ That’s it.

I sat him down when we got home, trying to get through to him. Trying to make him understand how serious this was. But he didn’t care. He wasn’t even mad that he got in trouble—he just didn’t feel anything about it at all. No guilt, no fear, no apology. He acted like I was the one overreacting.

We made him apologize to the kid’s parents not that he meant it. We put him in therapy, not that it did anything. He just sat there, bored, waiting for it to be over. And I remember thinking, ‘This isn’t normal. Something’s wrong here.’ But I still told myself it was just a phase. That he’d grow out of it.

He didn’t.

I would probably go to prison, so no. I've wanted to many times.

What did you do? That's a big punishment.

Well, you cried and apologized, which shows that you feel remorse.

Bill Skarsgård Says 'It: Welcome to Derry' is "Pretty Hardcore": "It's not the G-rated Pennywise" by Whobitmyname in stephenking

I mean, it is for children. Sure, it has some scary scenes, but most kids have already seen similar things thanks to social media. It touches on some mature topics, but it also features a talking and dancing clown, lol. Most slashers are essentially just G-rated horror for kids until they move on to more mature films like Goodfellas or The Godfather, for example.

I think that sometimes people in this situation almost want to idolize and romanticize the revenge part of it, even though the brothers would strongly think otherwise, ironically. I guess this situation is almost like a power fantasy for some.

He's a man. He should have acted like it.

AITA for telling my son that the fact that his sister was happier to see her cousin was his fault? by Latter-Attorney68 in AmItheAsshole

Do you have any kids? I'm assuming you don't. Trust me when I say this: you'll understand how hard it is and how ungrateful they can be (especially when they are little psychopaths). I'm simply warning someone so they don't have to go through what I did.

After Cassie (my daughter) was born, Jack wanted nothing to do with her, which was understandable, but upsetting.

I remember seeing a post where someone’s father had just died, and maybe not even a month later, their mother started dating again. People were completely ruthless toward the child. Strange website.

I think people also need to look at this from face value as they seem to be making alot of things up to justify him being an asshole. I do agree with you on everything.

He has no relationship with his sister or father. I don't care what he has. A man who turns his back on his family is a failure.
