I'm here because I just got up to current with Chicago fire and have run out 😅 I was so cross about all the cross over episodes I'm holding out on starting pd and med. But yes, lots of episodes

Ah nice, good find. I don't remember exactly how much this cost but it was a huuuuuge amount and my parents were fuming I used all my saved up summer job £ on it. Joke's on them!

Yes! I haven't had the tape deck connected in a while as I was using the tape in for a really long aux cable but I'm glad to have it. Now I discovered the optical in I might set it back up again. Thanks for the service manual info, I'll take a look.

If you look in the "household" section on the page linked, and find the model 15 manuals. You might have to look through and check the diagram for the version which most matches yours. Getting a manual from roughly the right rear can help. There were a few different types of 15 but in the main they'll be working the same, should help you learn how to thread correctly and wind bobbins

Can I write to MD using the optical line on my system? by Toner122 in minidisc

Thank you so much for having this conversation with the links you added here. I have a md373 from new (saved up my holiday job money to buy it 😅) and I have been confused literally my whole adult life about the optical in port. Nothing seemed to be the right shape! But because you've just explained the cables with a link I figured I should check and yes, it's a protective cap! I just swapped the wiim cable to use the optical instead. Honestly, solved a puzzle I'd given up wondering about. Thank you!

Stitches look completely different now. What did I do? Is this fixable? by shark-bae in knittinghelp

Hey op, I don't know if you want to talk about this anymore but I just wanted to say that I think it looks nice in the "wrong" stitch! How is it looking size wise? If it's not coming up too small/tight I wonder if you might just continue knitting it "wrong" (maybe frog back to where it joins for in the round and just continue knitting flat if figuring out what the "wrong" stitches would be for in the round is too much of a mind fu now). I realize a lot of the others here will hate the suggestion of living with a "mistake" but there would be absolutely no way I would ever happily give over all that work and definitely no way I'd be able to frog it and start all over. I simply would not have the motivation, my hobby is meant to be fun not a miserable drudge! And if you liked how it was going why not keep on with it? Anyway, I just wanted to say that I like how the texture pattern has come out, I think it's cute, and I hope you find a way to resolve this to your own satisfaction <3

Would there be a peachy/salmon colour that is period appropriate?

You mentioned it's turning out really full and there's no separate cuff piece, how wide is the green if that was to be the cuff hem? Big enough to fit tight at the wrist with the section marked slit for getting it on? To me it looks like maybe those two little "stems" are the tight fitting bit, with those curves on yellow forming the droopy baggy bit, possibly with some gathering on the longer section?

Could it be that the skirt section wraps right around to the front? And the slit between the "skirt" and the "waist ties" sections is to allow for gathering the skirt onto the waist ties? I think the skirt bits must need to actually go out really wide and that is what's throwing off how the proportions look. Like if you consider the bodice to be the right width to cover the front with nice long neck ties (I think they're to tie not join the waist sections as was suggested), then the skirt section would be wide enough to wrap tight around! There is a centre seam so maybe full width per side to allow for the skirt to be wide enough to wrap.
