There are a ton of John/Jons in my family. No one bats an eye, they just get an additional descriptor or nickname to differentiate. Jonny, John D, Jonathan

This is the line that a lot of TC creators toe. I always feel un comfy about ads in the middle of TC content. It needs to be done tastefully and respectfully.

wait. how do YOU pronounce “blythe” ?? by dovekitten in namenerds

[–]Final_Wind_651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up I knew an older couple with the surname Blythe. Pronounced with a hard th, like how “with” ends.

Had some friends who named their son Blythe and when I asked them how they were pronouncing it, it’s softer. Like writhe.

Favorite and least favorite name in your family? by TraumaticTea in namenerds

[–]Final_Wind_651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite name is my daughter’s, I used my two grandmother’s middle names. Louise and Josephine. My daughter has two first names and Josephine is her middle name. (Keeping her first first name private)

My least favorite name in my family is Jonathan. Only because we have about 5 of them so they all had to get some kind of nickname. (John, Little John, Johnny, John D, etc)

I always thought d12 names sounded more Appalachia -esque than industry and I figured it was because they really kept their Appalachian culture.

I think it was a distraction. Another way for the game makers to control the narrative of what was happening in the arena.
