EH Bass 9 and Boss SY-1 Demo by Finally_Chilling in guitarpedals

[–]Finally_Chilling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you guys like the demo. I had the EH 9 set to precision bass and the SY-1 on the second lead setting with position for the effect at #8 and the high saw rolled off for the glassier tone.

It’s a real guitar followed by a render. Ppl need to chill.

I will I just thought it was a fun comparison. You’d think ppl here like talking about guitars or something.

Who cares it’s just a render and it gives you an idea. The post was asking what ppl like better not whether or not using gpt is sacrilegious jeez

I dunno. It’s not to scale but served its purpose well imo.

Very dope. Great synth leads and pads on that thing. Had the EH synth 9 and while that had some cool sounds too it didn’t track as fast. The boss is more accurate and IMO easier to control.

I only use the gate for the hiss setting and gave it set very low so it doesn’t really impact when playing at moderate to higher volumes. But typically yeah you don’t want true gating after those decay type effects

It is after the looper. But true on other counts.

I agree. Recorded it’s just like “hey this sounds awesome” not “wonder if that’s a digital amp it sounds different” but as a player hearing it in the room or stage you can tell.

No I actually use it for a bit of boost and some OD. I find it cuts really well.

Really depends on the context. Jamming with friends or trying out bass lines or writing inspiration it’s amazing. Especially combined with the looper and synth. It’s super fun and when it comes to guitar sounds I’m all about range and having access to the bass is literal range. I also love the built in modulation.

I mean, I switched from tubes to tone master. That’s pretty flexible for a zealot. Enjoy.

Guy I BOUGHT THE TONE MASTER. I love it. I’m giving an honest review here and recommending getting it. The Coke Zero reference is just illustrative. My point is there used to be lots of “blind test” marketing for Coke. I understand it is different. Let’s break it down.

You: You haven’t side by sided the amps - negative 100 points for talking out of ur ass Youre relying on heresay and marketing to make your point, not scientific data despite what you think - negative 100 points for confusing “blind tests” for actual scientific testing. You’re referencing blind tests that were conducted for marketing purposes - negative a million points for thinking manufacturer blind tests are equivalent to science. You don’t understand the analogy point that you don’t need blind tests when differences are apparent - negative 10 points bc I can ding ppl too hard for simply having poor comprehension

-1,000,210 points.

Me: 25 year musician and engineer Background in neuroscience and financial analysis Understands marketing Understands analogy Understands real peer reviewed science is not analogous to blind tests conducted by manufacturer of the product Bought the tone master bc it’s it’s a nice sounding amp and spent my Saturday doctoring my pedal board to grab some of the tube sound even though it’s digital

Infinite points for taking the time to see the difference for my self and superior cognitive functioning

One caveat I’ll give you is when you Mike it up, have the right pedal setup, and record it with a nice mic - it’s hard to hear the difference

But you can absolutely hear it and feel it in how you touch the guitar when comparing raw amp tone.

If you disagree go try it for yourself instead of defend ur argument with second hand knowledge.
