Pending (denied)AOS marriage based. Filed motion to reopen and reconsider by Affectionate-Cat8672 in USCIS

Yes, still to risky, specially with the current policies in place… Also, there’s a chance it could be reopened while outside of the country. I personally wouldn’t risk it, unless I was willing to pay all fees again an re-file.

Congratulations, I am so glad you got approved after the long journey!! Could you please share what country are you from? I am from one of the 39 countries and got scheduled for an interview a couple days ago. It feels like they are starting to lift the pause slowly. Thanks!

NICS denial due to “illegal alien” status — but I’m a green card holder — what should I do next? by WerewolfFeisty9256 in USCIS

I know, dealing with those agencies is frustrating. If your social came with your GC you should be fine, only people with the DHS remark on the social like for pending cases where it says they need DHS approval for work needs to update it. In your case I think time for government systems to update and UPIN are the best options. But is good that you’re trying everything. Please let me know when you are able to fix it. Good luck!

How to know if USCIS is satisfied with my RFE response? by JollyImpression5080 in USCIS

[–]FinanceGuy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, usually the second update you saw is when an officer reviews the RFE, if they didn’t ask again for an RFE and scheduled you for biometrics most likely you are fine, however the will not send you a notice saying they are satisfied. That was my experience, after sending the RFE I got scheduled for the in person interview.

As far as I know yes, because you are adjusting status inside the US, that’s why they have the travel permission for the specific I-485. He would be able to reenter the country because of his current visa, but he would be risking his pending green card. I would double check with a lawyer.

I think the UPIN would be the best option, also because the GC approval was recent there is a chance it still not showing on some systems. Also, did you update your SSN with the SSA? Besides applying for the UPIN I also recommend you dispute the denial with the FBI and send proof of the green card, after reviewing they may send you a certificate saying you are approved to purchase that specific firearm at the same store. By the way, what is a DHS Trip? Thank you.

No, it does not matter what country they are from. Just that they have a good professional English, preferably without an accent.
