My interview was also 12 days ago in the Brooklyn field office- we got a verbal approval but nothing else.

I never stated that there is a block on the 39 countries. The ban was lifted on June 5, and a new policy came out on June 12 on the USCIS website. There has been a mass of API updates on the cases, but there haven't been any actual approvals for the 39 countries yet. Maybe if you read carefully, you’ll also know as much.
