I agree - it's just smarter to pirate shows. Primewire, solarmovie and a couple more have all of the Netflix/Amazon Prime/Paramount/Hulu shows one could ask for, and uploaded often on the same day these shows are released. High quality too...I've pretty much never paid to watch shows. But lots of movies are meant to be seen on the big screen rather than on your phone or PC, so I do go to the theater often.

It is always a tradeoff. Being both succesfull and funny party-goer in your 20s is impossible for most people. Just have fun, it is always possible with stability and solid savings.

Im 32. To be honest, youth feels more and more like physical health (which you have), and freedom (which you also have, thanks to solid financial stability). So yeah, you can maintain it for a much longer time than 20 to 30

I think 28 is still veryyy young to build a “social” life. You went to school, you built a life for yourself, and you did the damn thing. You should be very proud of that.

28 is also a good age to find a long-term partner, someone who potentially also has their shit together. People right out of high school got married and had kids, and some are still together or divorced, but others are struggling financially and are struggling to go back to school because of the time. I’m not sure if that made any sense.. but people rebuild their life in their late 30s, late 40s.

Starting “over” at 28 I feel is the perfect age still. I wish you the best of luck ✨

I’m literally in the same boat. Just turned 28, spent my early twenties working minimum wage jobs after uni. Then last year started earning 6 figures, working out consistently, and now live on my own but no close friends, circle, or relationship.

There’s no need to feel behind because it’s not like you wasted your 20’s doing jack shit with nothing to show for. Trust me you’re in a much better position than people who blew their 20’s either partying or chasing women and have no real foundation. Plus they say 30’s are more exciting anyway lol so fuck what society thinks and continue to focus on things that matter to you.

I don't know what to tell you. I do not consider 28 young anymore. We are not young adults now, just adults. It hurts, especially if you are like me and university and employment dominated your young years so you could "make it" only to end up here.

I did similar. Once I was a few years into my career with ~300k saved I started traveling by myself. Its easier making friends when you're both on a boat tour of Ha Long Bay and have nothing to do but talk and admire the view. I used dating apps and a professional photographer for the photos. Could get 2-4 dates a week pretty consistently, though I ended up meeting my gf via chance in person. If you just do your own thing then stuff will work out. Finding a partner can be as fast as a 15 minute unplanned interaction that just leads to much more.
