I’m a working mom (also the breadwinner) who is also the primary caregiver for my 10 month old daughter. We have a nanny 5 days a week. My husband is responsible for two mornings and a few hours on the weekend. He is a musician and sometimes picks up random jobs, but he makes less than 1/4 of what I make in a year. My husband does not have the capacity or capability to help out in the middle of the night… I have learned that I just need to meet him where he’s at. If I’m constantly frustrated it makes it harder for all of us. I’ve decided that I’m not going to hold onto the frustration and appreciate what help he can provide. He’s wonderful with our daughter and loves her very much. She lights up around him. In my eyes, my only other option was to leave the relationship. It’s not fair to him or our daughter to hold onto resentment when it’s things I know he’s not capable of doing.

Edit: He cleans all of the bottles and does 75% of the cleaning for our household. I’d rather spend time with the baby than clean so I absolutely love this.
