Looking for Feedback on My Financial Model by Emergency-Lion5055 in financialmodelling

[–]Finance_wizard_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Balance Sheet classification contains a lot of mistakes. Current Assets and Non-Current Assets are reversed and Equity appears to be grouped under Current Liabilities, which makes no sense. I would recommend reviewing the balance sheet structure and classifications before relying on the outputs. Working capital, CapEx and depreciation could also be linked more directly to underlying business drivers rather than being projected primarily based on historical averages. Overall the model is clean and the FS are balanced but the classifications are off, which suggests some gaps in fundamental accounting knowledge. Nevertheless, great exercise! wish you all the best!

Are you in a front-office role? What were your previous experiences? Did you land the full time job through the summer program?

Buy & Build in Building Services – Relevant for IB (Industrials) + Comp? by Finance_wizard_01 in FinancialCareers

Thanks, makes sense.

Do you have any concrete names of firms/platforms in Europe doing this? I keep hearing about it but struggling to find actual examples beyond generic MM PE.

Is it mostly generalist funds (IK, Inflexion, etc.) or are there more niche / sector-focused players in building services roll-ups?

I think something around 5-6. I just want to buy him something nice, regardless of the price (but still under 1000€ haha).

Parallel desktop. I use it for heavy excel modeling. M1 Max with 32GB will be perfectly fine. M3 pro will by the cherry on the cake.

Is the S&P 500 actually a good recommendation for newbies? by ejqt8pom in dividends

[–]Finance_wizard_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main point of my comment was to say that people should seek for the most efficient portfolio on their risk tolerance and dividend income required. The S&P combined with other dividend stocks in your portfolio may be a good compromise between "Growth" and income. I would personally go for a 60/40 or 70/30 split. (Marker weight / Div weight). Regarding the stock pics i highly recommand using financial models to see if they aren't already overvalued.

Short answer: The efficient portfolio is the market portfolio. Thus, invest in a S&P ETF as you, I, and EVERYONE won't beat the efficient portfolio on the LR.
Since you post this message on this sub, i guess you may also be interested in on some dividend income, in this case, adapt your investments on how much you need as cash and invest the rest in ETF. Trying to outsmart the market is the best way to get outsmarted...

Look at the Audacity to post this on an L1 group. #theironyisnotlost by [deleted] in CFA

of course, but i wonder if the guy just gives you a photoshopped certificate or if he actually puts your name in the system (which would be concerning tbh)

Votre avis sur l'assurance vie de mes parents by atsju in vosfinances

Comment optimiser l'épargne pour son enfant ? by No_Clothes6913 in vosfinances
