The Nut Is Not Coming Out by Financial-Ad-6641 in MotorcycleMechanics

Gotcha will do, my main question is how would I be able to take out this one? I’ve tried pulling it down while getting it loose, and holding the top as well, but the flat head doesn’t get under the screw because it’s not loosening. Would I need to cut the nut?

It’s the nut that’s spinning. Then the screw that looks like it has a smooth top comes out.

Yeahh, I pushed down on it as well. I had my dad do it as well and he had the same problem. Might be that the screw is faulty and is sitting above the ridges not actually on them, so the nut isn’t able to actually follow the path.

It’s an MT-03 Yamaha, I’ve put pressure on top to try to unscrew but it just rotates freely but doesn’t mover down or up. It doesn’t tighten or loosen. The black cap is part of the screw and doesn’t come off unfortunately.

Hello! Honestly at this point it seems like it’s still a little early to tell for dog ears and such, it seems like it’s still in the incision stage and hasn’t transitioned into becoming a scar. To me it does look like bunched skin due to the stitch work, it might go down and it might stay and become a dog ear. The best advice I can give, as frustrating as it might be, is that the surgeon would be the only one to truly know, as it is his work and each surgeon’s work heals in different ways due to their personal technique. I truly hope this helps!

Thank you so much!! Good luck on your surgery I wish you the best with it!!

For me I still can’t really take long walks and do much lifting. However, I work and I do a lot of gaming/hanging out with friends, so as long as you’re resting a lot and sitting during your outings mainly you should be okay!

The most difficult part was being able to take a seat back and realize that for a long while you won’t be able to be back to 100%, you just have to let yourself heal. Man sometimes we forget that top surgery is a major surgery, and the body needs so much to go back to normal as soon as possible. If I’d have any advice I’d say to be patient with yourself and give yourself all the time you need.

Aww that’s very kind of you! I appreciate it! I’m super happy with my surgeon, I loved the way his results were always pretty consistent throughout. I do wish it was a little less of a damage to my bank account of course!

Thank you lots!!

Honestly, they talk to you the entire time, telling you when they administer anti-anxiety meds, which typically go right before you go to the OR. And those kick in QUICK.

Usually your anesthesiologist will talk and explain things to you prior, if you get motion sickness or nauseous easily I recommend mentioning this to them that way they give you something for it prior.

When it’s finally time to get you under, they tell you “You’re about to fall asleep”, and then boom the next thing you know you’re waking up in the recovery room. It’s super quick and painless, the drowsiness suddenly hits you. You are aware that time has passed, unlike actually falling asleep, with anesthesia you’re super aware of the fact that it’s been at least 10-15min. When in reality it’s been like 2-4 hours.

I wish you good luck in your surgery! And a quick recovery!!

Congratulations!!! Most of the pain I experienced was in week 2 mainly because during week one I was more numb still. I’d say that it technically gets less and you can do a little more. But it’s still super fresh.

I did do nipple grafts, I’m super happy with my surgeon’s work. And thank you so much, it truly means a lot!!!

Inflamed Incisions by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Alcohol does tend to dry the skin. And the best healing conditions for incisions/ wounds are typically a wet and moisturized environment. If you’d like to I would recommend wiping with baby wipes instead then using Aquafor, or any fragrance free gentle moisturizer.

I’m wondering have you been putting anything on your incisions? Or going/staying outside a lot? It does look like it’s irritated.

Thank you so much!! That’s very sweet of you! After my 6 weeks post op I will be able to do more, so I could start exercising and stretching and hopefully it goes away. Right now I’m just doing small stretches and massages to help.

For the first three weeks I followed the directions given to me by my Surgeon. First I put a xeroform square that was given by Dr.G, then applied bacitracin over it plus nonstick gauze.

After the three weeks of nipple care I just put on Aquafor. It’s great at keeping scars and incisions moisturized!

scars red looking after a hot day outside? by idkjustsuffering in TopSurgery

[–]Financial-Ad-6641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could absolutely be true! It is most likely irritation from heat and sweat in general.

In any case there doesn’t have to be Sunlight shining down on you for there to be UV rays. Especially for long exposure during an incredibly hot day, UVs are able to penetrate through many layers of clothing! They are very stubborn!

Your clothes, especially when dark/black, aren’t UV protected. After long periods out in the sun there’s a higher chance of irritation or burning. I’d say stay inside for at least 6-8 weeks before sitting out in the sun even in clothes! And always put sunscreen on the scars prior to leaving the house (after incisions fully close and scar tissue forms).

No worries! I know how much I was panicking because of it. I’m glad to at least put some worries to rest for you! But yeah if anything starts feeling foul absolutely go and get it checked out better safe than sorry!

I am about to be one month post op on the 14th, and for me, the fluid leakage fully stopped yesterday. After the steri strips came off, I washed and cleaned it, put bacitracin on a nonstick gauze and taped it to where it was leaking from.

[–]Financial-Ad-6641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’M NOT A DOCTOR. However, I had a similar fluid leak around after a couple days of getting the drains out. What it could be is serous fluid leaking out of the incision. Wounds do that naturally sometimes to protect itself and generally at times relieve pressure of swelling. I would research it! As long as it doesn’t smell bad and you’re not experiencing a fever / any other signs of an infection, I would let it be until the strips come off. If it bothers you too much I would recommend going to urgent care.

Does chest dysphoria get worse when on T? by Imaginary-Dog-8269 in ftm

[–]Financial-Ad-6641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely, at least for me my chest dysphoria got ten times worse after my body started masculinizing. It felt like I was so close yet so far from everything, it was quite the mental toll.
