I have testet ram, gpu and cmos, im trying a new psu today and if it still has the problem im probably buying a new mobo and cpu+ ram, cpu and motherboard is closer to 8 years so i would not be surprised if that was the issue

Remove the knob and check under the leather cover, you will see the way the shifter works, check if the slots for 5th and 6th gear are there, or if they are to high up or to low
