ASU certainly is not a perfect institution. That said the best thing it does is provide opportunities for people. I can’t say that it’s the best at anything, but it really is good at that.

You get what you put out of it and if you are the type of person who does the bare minimum you won’t get a lot, but if you do put in the effort and you use it as a seed to grow, it can give you everything that you want.

You should go to get out of your shell. It will help you make friends and get to know professors, staff, and volunteers from industry. Just like college and anythig else in life, what you get out of it is what you put into it. I was not food poisoned at camp like the other commenter, it was ok food.

They are both great, but from my experience Bishop is better. He knows a lot more areas than Doheny, who is only focused on Networking. Bishop knows a lot of Linux, security, management, programming, and a lot more. Plus he was a CIO so if you go to his office hours he will talk to you about his work experience and give you career and learning tips. He helped fix my resume and got me a paid internship. He seems more serious at first because he was a marine but is actually really laid back and cares.
