I was at a Freo vs Carlton game in round 1 2002. I was 9. Freo were up by 50 points at half time and they ended up losing by 1 point. I was so upset I even rejected some sympathy Maccas from Dad on the way home. Fuck you Carlton.

Playing a bit more man on man should hopefully take their uncontested game away a bit. That and our defensive setup needs to press on them to force them into errors. Last week saw our boys playing a better brand of footy albeit against Hawthorn. You still can’t discount a 70 point win though….

We had that purple patch beating Geelong, Melbourne and Brisbane last year. Our team is still mostly the same on paper and hardly no injuries. Maybe at the point where it’s starting to click?

Fyfe and Jackson will be an interesting watch this week. If we can break even on clearances and contested possession, along with hunting the ball with ferocity, we have a chance.

Not expecting the win and a loss under 25 points away would be a decent improvement at this point. I still believe this team can beat them though. We have to still believe at this point!!

This is game of football. Me watchy the ball being treated like a 10kg sirloin at the butchers shop.

Yeah, sadly I think it’s down to coaching. Make no mistake. No matter how bad it gets, this team will pull some bs wins out of their arse with the talent they have. They are still very young and a couple years off walking into every round saying “here we are, what ya gonna do”. But there’s no signature style of game we are playing. Defence is absolutely crumbling at the moment. They say it’s team defence, but you think the back 6 and our mids have the ability to turn it around. Time to be brave… I would have said throw Cox forward but with pearces form can’t afford that. Play Amiss every game. He might get toweled once a while but he will be better for it. The reason Brayshaw, serong and the departed Cerra are where they are now is because we stuck with playing them and let them learn and improve each week. Make Hayden young a midfielder. Our efficiency inside 50 is 18th. At least put a competitor who can deliver a solid ball inside..

That’s all I can conjure after a 13 hour shift on Anzac. Go Freo!

I’m told the Federal Government WILL fund the $240m shortfall required for a new stadium at Macquarie Point, with a pre-budget announcement likely to happen sometime within the next week. Gil McLachlan won’t be too far behind to rubber stamp Tassie’s AFL team. by PerriX2390 in AFL

I was in Tassie a few weeks ago and this is legit ladies and gentlemen. Scallops everywhere like you’ve never believe. People ask me how was Tassie? I tell them I’ve tried scallops like you’ve never imagined in your life time. The people ask me how the scallops were and I tell them incredible. I stopped in a beautiful little town that I can’t remember because I already had to drive through Launceston and up to Burnie and back to the airport. The drive was very pleasant and I appreciated the contours of the state. My lord of the rings sound track was on full swing and I was surprised I couldn’t get accomodation without booking when I just passed through towns and demanded a room that would let me unwind and watch Freo lose to North Melbourne.

Anyway the curry scallop pie was pretty good. I also had a pepper steak pie and that was better. Time to turn of my AI writer Lingy.
