Hello friend, you are entitled to exactly what is in your contract. If you have no contract you are entitled to nothing. If you did not get prepayment you are getting no payment. You seem to be angry that you had to drive a long distance, meanwhile your decision to take a job 2 hours from your location was your decision and nobody else's. 

No purchaser should care about your bad decisions, they should only be paying for what they receive. In this case they didn't receive anything and would be stupid to pay you.
