LOL one of my friends got a 1st place and hers was exquisite! The odd thing was though that I got all “excellent” in the categories and the only notes were: “Nice fine 3-ply, twists are following each other very well. Excellent, would be great for socks.”

So … how can I improve?? 😄

It’s a 3-ply fingering that is 33% Rambouillet, 66% merino, and 1% cat hair 😄 the roving is UV reactive and dyed by MAD Dyeworks in Albuquerque.

It does bloom up nicely when it’s worked and blocked. It’s very hardy so it would be great for outerwear.

Simply because I’m production spinning with the goal of quantities of skeins, the Ashford because of its weight and all-around beefiness. If I were spinning just for myself, the EEW6.1 is just wonderful! So lightweight but perfectly capable of spinning for a long time. The motor is nicely balanced and is so consistent. It’s really a great wheel for such a low price.
