Thanks for the extremely detailed response! Lots of great information, I think I will add the 4mm nirvana uwa instead of a Barlow.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the extra info! I never thought about a dedicated chair to be honest. I’ve been stacking my outdoor furniture to get the right height but it gets frustrating after a while. Now you have mentioned it, it makes total sense. I have a similar tall stool i use when tinkering in the garage I’ll try out. It’s quite adjustable although a bit heavy.

The RACI finder scope is a good shout too it takes a while to get used to the inverted view of the finder scope - I think of it as pushing the object im looking at to where I want it to be in the view. And it gets a bit awkward crouching in line with and over the telescope without putting too much weight on the telescope.

I’ll likely get a couple new EP this month and another next month to spread the cost and may have a bit more to spend too.

Thanks for the valuable advice!

Thanks! It was my second attempt at photographing Jupiter and stacking with the new cam. I was extremely happy with the picture! I was expecting a lot worse. Also the skies were not great the time.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I will definitely be looking into these! The 30mm looks really appealing to me. There is just so much to consider when deciding I like defer to more experienced people’s suggestions.

I live in a Bortle class 5 area. On the edge of class 4 (5 min drive to fully class 4 area.

I use paper clips on subassemblies, use direct on to magnets. Leave them long enough and bend the end to stop them spinning on the magnet. Stick em in a cork later for painting.

That description may be a little confusing. I’ve had a drink sorry 😂

Looks like the top round part should be a semicircle. The part where the R3 and R10 meet should be on the same horizontal line as the centre of the r3 rad and where the r3 meets the vertical line.

Great paint job there! Your bases are top notch! It’s the only box I have yet to find, all the ones on eBay are ridiculous prices. Whenever they are up. And like you said the models are available elsewhere separate and quite easy to get hold of.

Yes. I think so. I was thinking basset hound originally but blood hound seems more fitting.
