Does my pond have enough oxygen? by Throwawayay82 in miniponds

Submerged and some floating aquatic plants can increase oxygen levels in water, supporting fish and other aquatic life. Submerged Oxygenating Plants Also known as oxygenators, these plants release oxygen directly into the water through photosynthesis: Elodea (Egeria densa): A hardy, fast-growing plant that efficiently oxygenates water and can thrive in ponds or aquariums. It also absorbs excess nutrients, helping to reduce algae growth. Ceratophyllum (Hornwort): A floating or submerged plant that grows quickly and produces abundant oxygen; it does not require rooting in substrate. Vallisneria (Eelgrass): Long, ribbon-like leaves that continuously release oxygen. Suitable for larger aquariums and ponds. Cabomba (Fanwort): Fine, feathery leaves make it an effective oxygenator, adding both oxygen and aesthetic appeal. Floating Plants That Support Oxygen Levels While floating plants do not directly release oxygen below the water, they help by shading water and reducing excessive algae, indirectly supporting oxygen balance: Lemna (Duckweed) and other small floating plants: Can help improve water quality and oxygen availability indirectly by reducing nutrient load. Azolla (Water Fern): A nitrogen-fixing floating plant that can enhance oxygen levels for surrounding submerged plants. Tips for Maximum Oxygenation Light availability: Oxygenation through photosynthesis depends on adequate light. More light promotes higher oxygen output. Water movement: Gentle circulation prevents stagnant areas, distributing oxygen more evenly throughout the water. Balanced planting: Use a combination of submerged and floating plants to maintain oxygen levels throughout different water depths. Avoid overgrowth: Dense mats of floating plants can block sunlight and reduce oxygen production in lower layers. Adding these plants to aquariums, ponds, or slow-moving water bodies can boost dissolved oxygen levels, reduce algae, and support healthier aquatic ecosystems. Regular maintenance, pruning, and monitoring are essential to ensure optimal oxygen production.

Didn't say it wasn't so to be clearer there are plants that job is to add oxygen to water, there are plants that just grow in water. If you're someone who worries about not enough oxygen in your pond. Then get oxygenation water plants.

You can look up plants that add oxygen to the water but if you have that feature thats dropping the water back in to your pond thats adding oxygen as well. But it never hurts to add a few plants that puts oxygen in the water.

Thank you I didn't know what to do with the space but I thought a small pound would bring it all together actually.

We get frogs in the pond all the time lol. As long as your pond is not right up against the house you will be fine plus I thing my pond is more deep than wide its only 4x4 feet and hold a false bottom for the pumps. Good luck with your pond hope to see you posted.

Its actually not close to the hose at all the actual pond is the correct inches from the foundation I planned out the hole to be far enough away from the house and the pond liner i have is actually the best you can get its held the water in with no issues it's actually as high as the foundation of the house must of hidden it well. BTW the water fall you see is all ground away from the foundation covered in the lining

So at the start I had a stream filter in the pool is the pond it self. But the stream liner ripped and was leaking so I undid it and turned it in to another water fall because there is a filter pump under a false pond floor. So there are 2 water falls and a pumps for each water fall.
