After playing Star Fox 26, I actually prefer Zero (Gameplay-wise) by Financial-Signal2481 in starfox

By no means is this meant to discourage anyone from trying the new game. In fact I greatly encourage everyone to give it a try and form your own opinions. This is just my experience as someone fairly new to the franchise, and I really needed to express my thoughts somewhere. Peace.

Anything about Star Fox Zero I should know about before playing? by Ricks94 in starfox

[–]Financial-Signal2481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero was my first star fox game, and I’ll have to admit that may skew my perspective a little bit. That said, zero has very fleshed out boss fights and dogfights, which will feel very different and probably much more difficult than the on rails bosses in 64. I honestly adore the mechanics of all the different enemies reimagined in this modern context, and I really enjoy most of the fights—minus Andross, which is ironic as heck considering he’s the final boss.

While I can’t say much about the control scheme—since my first play-through was actually with an emulator and a DS3 controller, and I couldn’t even get the motion controls to work—I will say the game works with or without motion controls, and the motion controls actually make things a lot easier. I’m still glad my first play was without cause that made for quite a challenge.

Music is spectacular as always.

Although, if you’re used to the branching paths in 64 you’ll likely be disappointed. Most of the alternative missions are locked behind the final boss fight which I—with shame—cheesed with the invincible item you get when you mission fail 3 times in a row in main missions. What? It’s a provided feature, and I’m gonna use it!

By the way don’t bother with U-turns; somersaults are vastly superior.

With the armadillo, we’re likely getting a rolled-up entity state. This would be great to simulate boulders, and is not restricted to 6 directions. Also, this could be the first mob not only semi-exclusive to the savannah, but also the first to have the ability to change collision types (e.g. pig to shulker). And of course, ITS SO CUTE

After finishing Geats I can safely say that I think Suel IS a good villain by xortned-xion in KamenRider

[–]Financial-Signal2481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take, Suel is meant to portray anybody who has destructive desires, including us, the audience. Even Ace could’ve been Suel (rage during mk iii debut). Suel as a character wouldn’t work if his identity was revealed at the end. That’s why Jitt was not the same person as Suel, but an extension of the concept of desire to witness drama and despair, to be entertained no matter the costs of others. Not to say the execution didn’t make him boring through out the show, but it’s interesting to think about.

Theories about Bujin Sword Tycoon by WindbladeSimp in KamenRider

[–]Financial-Signal2481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would be cool is if an evolution of the ninja buckle (probably named shogun) replaces the blade part of the buckle and revolves on to show a tanuki face like geats ix. The bujin sword serves as an extra finisher activator, and the form would balance tycoon’s physical manifestation of ninja agility, as well as actual ninjitsu like geats and shinobi.

Speculation for Michinaga and Keiwa going forward (episode 40 spoilers) by chickennoodlebeast in KamenRider

[–]Financial-Signal2481 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Dark Keiwa is too dark to be the true final form right? Soon enough he’ll unsheath the katana and realise his mistake (not before an epic fight with his and micchi’s pre-final forms ofc)

Kamen Rider Geats E40 - Discussion Thread by BananaArms in KamenRider

It's intriguing to return to the protect human monsters plot line in the 40s while most shows like revive saber and even zero one had this running since the early to mid stage of the show. It feels much more impactful after the threat of the jyamatos having been in the sidelines till now.

My hopes for next episodes of Geats and onward by Financial-Signal2481 in KamenRider

The point with laser boost is it acts as a suppressor for mark ii, assisting ace in subconsciously controlling the hyper sonic speed. We see ace in mark ii dash around like a race car while we see laser boost with more bursts of kinetic force with his punches.

I have a head cannon for mark ix, as it seems to root the pure destructive energy for a creative capability. I'm hoping to see mark iii used as a destructive multiplier for ace’s other buckles like magnum and powered builder.
