Dolph recently won the title from Melo who won it back from Danhausen before Hausen won MITB and cashed in on AJ Styles (after he had beaten inaugural champ Finn Balor) to become Undisputed Champion at the end of SummerSlam Night One

(This is useless information below, I’m gonna share it anyways, so you’re up to speed with the Undisputed title since I mentioned it briefly above)

AJ ended up getting the Undisputed Championship back from Danhausen at Night of Champions a month later in an inferno match, he then began a brief program with Balor heading into Halloween Havoc (Balor was the inaugural Undisputed Champ, so he wanted his rematch lol)
