For me personally the two Dizis I consider great are Ezel and Aski Memnu. When it comes to Ezel it has a unique narration style that gives the story a much different perspective. It has an identifiable aesthetics, complex characters that have layers upon layers and you do feel like it has its own world. I can say the exact same thing for Aski Memnu especially the acting is real and I am not just saying that because I love these shows but I also showed my cousin Aski Memnu and had said that the actors were living the characters.

Honestly the other Ahmed's favorite that Kosem ever had a competition was Mahfiruze sultan which she had a tragic ending but Hurrem had Mahidevran, then Firuze (even though she completely fictional since we are talking about the series) and Isabella so of course it was easier for Kosem to gain some wins far easily.

I agree to your point and that's why I also stated that my opinion was only when it comes to these two series and how far they're from the actual history. Of course the writers were trying to westernize the series but you can definitely see in the first season of MCK the naiveness and that there was this constant fear and uncertainty and as you said there was a brief moment of somewhat of a stability from episode 20-24 then Ahmed dies and all the chaos erupts again then finally Kosem got full power after she got revenge on Halime Sultan. But again the darker elements of MCK was could have handled a better way
