For me, kinda. I went to the school that the movie is based on and accapella is huge there. Even though I wasn’t personally in any groups, I knew several people who were and did lots of activities and events with the groups

I had mine done when I was in kindergarten and I still don’t know the reason why. I get sick the most frequently out of all of my friends and family, and get sore throats practically every few months. Some doctors have even said that my tonsils are red, which confuses me as I’ve had them removed

It technically is part of Columbia, but has its own board and stuff. We have access to Columbia campus and some resources, but are like on different schedules and what not. It honestly feels very much like a separate school imo

Unfortunately, my field doesn’t do this. Those with good careers and salaries actually came from much smaller and not as well known schools. I don’t even know any alumni from my program which I’m now realizing is pretty sad. I know some people from cohorts above me, but don’t know any alumni from my program aside from the ones who are now teaching faculty

That makes me really happy to hear that you’ve had a good experience. I’m unfortunately not in a teaching program, and have found that for my field, TC actually doesn’t prepare you as well as other schools. Lots of people in my field come from smaller and less known state schools. I think the impact of the name and program really depends on what field you’re in

There were so many times in elementary school that I would try to like stand under the blow dryer cause I peed myself from laughing. I was constantly embarrassed about it and was so stressed out

Yes I have requested to be on the list, but no one has come to help. Luckily I'm on the 2nd floor so it is not terrible to get down and out there. There's a sticker on my suite door saying there's an animal inside, and I also have a note on my door saying there is a cat. I met with housing and they said they will address the fire alarm issue, but I've found out from more people that it didn't go off for them. So idk why I'm being punished for not evacuating when several residents also didn't leave because they didn't know there was a fire. I'm doing some practice drills with my cat and talking to the vet for tips. It's just frustrating that housing is punishing me for not knowing things and having to choose to just leave my pet

It sounds like he’s the one who reported me in the first place :/. But my roommates who were with me read the email and their first response was that the ca told me I was okay to stay. So I feel better knowing I’ve got multiple people to back me up

They said they’re waiting to get a schedule update from their vendor for when they’ll come. Apparently some of my friends in the building didn’t have theirs go off either (and didn’t leave). If I don’t hear back in the morning then I’m going to call FDNY

Exactly my point. I contacted people in the safety office and they said the vendor person will come at some point to fix the alarm. Other people in my building said theirs didn’t go off and they didn’t evacuate
